Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously on Tuesday to make it illegal to be in possession of high-capacity ammo magazines, likely setting up a new Second Amendment battle in the Golden State.

After passing the measure with a 12-0 vote, Councilman Paul Krekorian reportedly challenged the National Rifle Association.

A group of Kalifornia libtards passes an anti-freedom law that they have no intention of enforcing again? Ho-hum.

This will CERTAINLY stop crime.

Or show the need for even MORE gun control.

Well they’ll try to enforce it on law abiding people. Criminals? That’s too much effort.

From the article... “People who own magazines that hold more than 10 rounds will have 60 days from the time the law goes into effect to destroy, legally sell or surrender them. Violators will face a misdemeanor charge”

So they just created a new class of criminals.

This is what Liberal Fascism looks like.

I expect the LA gangs to be hosting a joint presser emphasizing their agreement and willingness to comply...

******************************************

The police might want to keep clear of their doors so they don’t get run over by the stampede of citizens turning in their magazines /SARC Betcha this will go the way of NY’s SAFE act .... ignored by most ..... and not a single downward tick will be noted in the LA crime statistics. I believe this is called “spitting into the wind”.

I’m sure if there needs to be any negotiations, john f’n kohn-heinz-kerry would gladly fly in. Plus he may be able to get some kite boarding in while in the LA area.

Which is why I live just North of Avenue A (Kern County) in the AV...LA County is fascism writ large.

Anyone know of a company in search of a mass properties guy in a RED state? Will send resume upon request.

I need to get out of here and soon...

That is why the craphole called California needs to experience a 15.5 earthquake and fall off into the Pacific. It is the most liberal infected sewerhole in the country. If Orange County could be left, it would be ok.

It is not to stop crime it is to stop you from defending yourself and your family from criminal acts. Initially the acts will come from the criminals at large, in the end the criminal acts will come from the Government.

That’s OK, it only takes fraction of a second to slap another mag in. LA is full of the worst dumb arses in the United States. They have destroyed this once great city and turned it in a third world cess pool. The worst dip shi!s in America is the Hollywood nitwits.

to destroy, legally sell or surrender them. ==

Already banned by Calif state law. And by Calif law, can’t sell them (at least in Calif), probably can’t carry them to the border even. That would be state border. Drug cartels carry hi-cap mags back and forth over the US border 24/7.

Unless you have a “Registered Assualt Rifle”, with over 10 round mags. I guess in LA these are now illegal, and guess what. Being legally registered, the DOJ knows where you are.

Don’t know about an older 13-rd Browning mag, inherited from Dad before the Calif law.

The law is on the books. Enforce it. How will another identical law make any difference. LA law is only a misdemeanor; where’s the teeth?

But at the news conference, we were told: who needs a 100-round drum magazine and fully automatic gun to defend themselves at home?

Hey both those items are major felonies (already) in CA.

If this were in any other state than Californicate, I'd make a snarky remark about lines forming, etc.

But, since it is Californicate, the lines will be forming.

The people of that state are the very image of the frog in the pan with the heat slowly being turned up.

I lived there briefly while at the Presidio...I vowed I would never come back.

I have not, except to pass through LAX and to briefly visit San Diego to settle an estate of a relative.
