Donald Trump surging in New Hampshire, Iowa (Jeb plummets to 3rd in IA, 2nd in NH)

Donald Trump has surged to the lead in the New Hampshire GOP presidential primary and virtually erased Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s advantage in the Iowa caucuses, according to new NBC News/Marist polls released Sunday.

In Iowa, Walker still tops the field with 19 percent, the poll shows — only two points ahead of Trump, who garners 17 percent. Interviews for the poll began on July 14 — the day after the Walker campaign’s launch event in Wisconsin. The only other candidate in double digits is former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, at 12 percent.

Those lagging behind include a number of candidates banking on strong finishes in Iowa. Neurosurgeon Ben Carson is in fourth place, at 8 percent, followed by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee at 7 percent, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul at 5 percent, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz at 4 percent and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio at 4 percent.

Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, for whom a super PAC has spent more than $600,000 on ads on Iowa television supporting him over the past six weeks, is at just 3 percent. Bobby Jindal’s super PAC has spent almost $400,000 on Iowa TV ads, but the Louisiana governor only garners 1 percent in the poll.

Meanwhile, in the first-in-the-nation primary state of New Hampshire, Trump is in the lead at 21 percent. Bush, the second-place candidate, is at 14 percent.

I think with Jeb this early its just name recognition. He has almost no grassroots support as evidenced by his small amount of private donations to his campaign.

After the first debate I see Jeb fading. Trump is going to punch out hard at Jeb and Walker. He wants to knock these guys off fast so he can establish an early lead and then just maintain it til the voting starts.

I was speaking from a patriot & pro-Constitutional perspective.

From THAT perspective, the Bushies (including JEB) are insanely stupid and traitors!

I haven’t given up on Cruz. He is positioned to surge after the debates. I don’t see how Jeb adds to his numbers.

“At a recent “In Defense of Christians” event, Cruz was booed off the stage”

How recently was this?

I found a youtube video posted by a lib-prog group calling themselves “The Young Turks” (and typical nasty comments following).

Video is from the “In Defense of Christians” conference, and more than likely freepers who watch it will remember it. However, it was nearly a year ago.

Did I say anything to the contrary? Everyone - including Ted Cruz - can use improvement. He’s obviously working on lowering his speaking voice and that is a very good thing. I wish Hillary would try it.

“The obsessively-opportunistic Cruz used the audience’s goodwill to promote his agenda, rather than comment on Christians’ plight....he was booed off the stage.“

TTFlyer: “Bull. Just bull.”

All the man was able to get out was that Israel is a friend to the US — and that the same ones who “target and murder Jews” are the same ones who are murdering the Middle Eastern Christians.

That agenda?

That’s the one she’s referring to, and I think it’s pretty clear she must be a Paulbot or Anti-Semite since Cruz came out in strong support for Israel referring to how the same radical jihadists that attack and murder/behead Christians do the same thing to the Jewish people in Israel. And the crowd, made up of supposed Arab Christians (who somehow haven’t figured out the true message of the Gospel), booed him.

I may be wrong, Liz can fill in, but I believe Cruz, rightly, talked about anti-Semitism among mideastern Christians. For that, he got some blowback from the crowd. This, actually, is a problem. I think the Times has an article about it although I haven’t read it.

It’s not a “problem” to Liz since her post comment history indicates she’s an Anti-Semite

Using the word “Neocon”, then bashing someone who strongly stands up for Israel by showing the Jewish people are persecuted and terrorized there by the same people that make it dangerous for Arabs to become Christians is textbook Ron Paul.

I bet Liz probably thinks the Iran deal is great just like Rand.

Here’s a video of the event which a lot on here will remember https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyCnwTFGnvM
(Upload is from some radical leftist website unfortunately).

Cruz was absolutely correct in his comments. And he was right to leave the stage.

Liz is a friend of mine and I never saw anything anti-Semitic from her. She likes Trump, I like Trump. She’s not a fan of Cruz, it seems, I am. C’est le vie.

Stop throwing that crap out accusing others of anti-Semitism. It’s rude and you need to ping her on your posts.

“Christians do the same thing to the Jewish people in Israel. And the crowd, made up of supposed Arab Christians (who somehow haven’t figured out the true message of the Gospel), booed him.”

I couldn’t honestly say it’s all Christians in Israel, as I’ve been there and talked with many, but I get your point about the antisemitism. Many I met while visiting some of the ancient Christian churches seemed to be pretty pious and uptight with visiting American Christians, probably for the reason you said.

Liz’s comment made me think there was something that happened in the last month or so. But this particular one is the only time I can recall.

If there’s a more “recent” time where Sen. Cruz was booed off stage, maybe Liz can help us out.

Although I can’t imagine that group inviting Cruz back, so I’m thinking this is the only time.

I did Ping her in the previous comment.

And the truth hurts.

But she said this:

****Mr Opportunist—the flailing Cruz—collapsed in the polls after stupidly trying to latch onto the soaring Trump aura.

At a recent “In Defense of Christians” event, Cruz was booed off the stage.....he demonstrated his appalling ignorance of the plight of Christians in the middle east.

The obsessively-opportunistic Cruz used the audience’s goodwill to promote his agenda, rather than comment on Christians’ plight....he was booed off the stage.*****

And I provided the link from the video of the event she was supposedly referencing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyCnwTFGnvM

Anybody that watches that video knows Cruz’s comments were correct and accurate and not politically motivated. And he was right to walk off stage.

Then in a previous post she posted this Garbage:

“BACKSTORY: Is the Canadian-born Sen Ted Cruz really a Washington outsider or just another neocon establishment player willingly following the globalist agenda?

Back in 2014 a writer questioned the opportunistic Cruz’s self-proclaimed “outsider” status....in light of his background as a Harvard-trained lawyer who worked for George W. Bush and Congressman John Boehner.

The writer also mentioned Cruz’s wife Heidi’s banking and Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) affiliations: “Cruz’s wife Heidi is a Goldman Sachs Regional Manager, which is a little unnerving, given the massive bailouts and their involvement with the Federal Reserve in deflating our currency and killing our economy.

Heidi was also a member of a CFR task force that produced a report in 2005 called “Building a North American Community”.” Cruz himself once referred to the CFR as a “pernicious nest of snakes” working to undermine US sovereignty. This apparently includes his wife.

The CFR is a Rockefeller-funded group that is said to be occupied with the task of promoting the acceptance of global governance by Americans. Members there have written about why Americans must give up some of their sovereignty for a new order.

CFR’s “North American Union”, many believe, would indeed undermine the sovereignty of The United States.

Cruz is a recipient of over $106,000 from foreign pro-war lobbies, and once suggested that pro-abortion Democrat ex- Senator Joseph Lieberman would make a good Secretary of Defense. Lieberman himself has taken more than $2.2 MILLION from pro-war lobbies, the most of any US Senator.

This proclivity to support war, is said by many pundits to be “spawning the New World Order abroad.....perhaps a Police State at home”

Neocon terminology, accusations of globalist NWO agenda, bashing the man for getting booed because he made comments that equated the Jewish persecution in Israel by the jihadists to that of Arab Christians in the region (which he is totally correct).

All of this points to a RonPaul bot with hatred towards Israel.

I can’t figure why people aren’t gravitating to Cruz. HE’s a fighter, a scrapper... and this bettle in the Senate is being ignored.

He’s so smart.

Let me poll the board... why not Cruz?

The vast majority of Republicans know him from the media narrative. The first debates should change that a bit. Ted has the money to survive past the first few states. When the field gets down to five or six, he will stand out. Trump will come back to earth by then, too.

“Are you talking about last year when Ted was booed by Hezbollah? Or the time when Ted was booed by homosexuals?”

So, Ted Cruz is being booed by Hezbollah/anti-Semites (because they hate Israel & America), homosexuals (because of his belief in one-man-one-woman marriage), Constitution tramplers & America haters (dem & Rep for various reasons) ...

Sounds really good to me.
