Donald Trump: Resistance Leader
The Huffington Post ^ | 07/12/2015 5:32 pm EDT | Bill Schneider

Posted on 07/12/2015 3:52:19 PM PDT by Mariner

There's a reason why Donald Trump is stirring up the Republican race. The Republican Party has become a resistance movement, and Trump is leading the resistance.

What it's resisting is the rise of the New America. That's the coalition of groups that were historically marginalized: immigrants, racial and religious minorities, gays, working women, single mothers, young people and "unchurched" Americans with no religious affiliation.

It's a coalition united by a commitment to diversity and inclusion. And deeply opposed to symbols of exclusion like the Confederate flag, hostility to immigrants and homophobia. The coalition is growing in numbers as the U.S. becomes more racially diverse, women become more independent, gays come out of the closet and more people lose their religion.

The New America came to power with the nation's first African-American President. President Obama's legitimacy is under constant challenge -- most prominently by Donald Trump, who has never given up disputing Obama's legal qualifications to serve.

No, Trump is a lone wolf, and the GOP-E despises him now as much as the Rats. But I like what he’s saying and that all the right people are pissed at him. Go trump, and to Hell with the Republican Party.

"Anyone using the terms "GOPe"

I just used the term.

Is that your contention of me?

There is no way the Rs and the Ds are going to let Trump get nominated because in 2015 USSA they know he could win . I’m warming up to him myself and I swore I’d never vote again .

I call BS immediately.

This nation has been (in the past) the most OPEN for those peoples. The reason was because of the Judeo-Christian work ethic that rewarded success and hard work. (Insert the obligatory "Oh yeah? What about the X? X is a blatant example that Y and Z were held back!")

Well, no one said it was perfect. But America has been moving to de-codify the prejudices and bigotry instituted by the Democrat party in the 19th and 20th centuries.

For the most part, folks who wanted to succeed COULD succeed--at least better than any other nation in recorded history.

For the past 6.5 years that has been increasingly untrue!

The leftist mindset has almost fully infiltrated the public educational system, the unelected judiciary, the unelected federal bureaucracy, and the fascist federal executive branch, the codification of bigotry and class warfare is back in full swing.

We must stop such bad policy.

The buzzword list used to include “neoconservative” and “neocon”, and the purpose of using those terms was the same as using “Uniparty” and “GOPe”.

When all this amnesty stuff started, black racism increased, and no one was doing anything, I said, “Some scumbag was going to come and say the right things and people would flock to him.”

When did he become a conservative?
If he ran as a democrat, it would be up against Hillary, and they couldn't have that.

On this conservative site, he is being celebrated as the second coming.
After all, he says whatever they want to hear, and they're eating it up.

Now Ted Cruz is on the back burner of news.

If Donald Trump turns out to be a democrat plant, maybe conservatives have it coming.

Oberweis is a millionaire diary magnet. I call him milkman to insult him. ;_D

But yeah, he’s not Trump.

“Keep (ie take) the oil”, resonates with ME even though I know that’s not possible.

Good insights, prof. Trump is speaking the common tongue and this is what I’ve decided the dub the “American Idol” age of politics.

I listened to Santorum on Hannity the other night, smart guy, knows the issues well. The average man would never watch that interview.

"Now Ted Cruz is on the back burner of news."

That's 100% on Ted Cruz and nobody else. Cruz was in this race months before Donald Trump. He had a clear field and COULD NOT ADVANCE THE BALL.

Somebody had to do it as the rest of these payed chumps don't seem interested.

The question you asked was whether or not Donald Trump is a democratic plant.
Not who's fault it is that Ted Cruz couldn't carry the ball.

Conservatives better pray that Donald is on their team.

Republicans have control of both houses of congress. What resistance have they shown THERE?

No, Scott. Anyone who after reading the evidence that he isn’t a Democrat and still insists he is, is most likely a troll.

There are a huge number of people registered on Free Republic between 2009-2011 who have never posted anything. They have, like myself, a blank personal page.

It is some of those people I suspect of being trolls who work for the cartel. Lately, they have popped up and spread smears about Donald Trump.

It is not serious to have this cartoon character Trump as the Tea Party resistance leader. Trump earlier criticized Mitt Romney’s more mild opposition to our anarchistic type borders as too extreme. Trump cleverly felt the pulse of the Republican electorate. I don’t trust him and if he decides to go the third party route, he can really help Hillary Clinton, whom he supported in the past.

What about an intellectual such as Ted Cruz? That is the person the Tea Party should be supporting. Not a cartoon character such as Trump. Donald Trump's obnoxious whining about some freedom minded individuals putting on a draw Mohammed contest in Garland, Texas disqualifies him from serious consideration. I guess we'll oppose Mexican immigration, but support sharia law under a Trump administration. Hardly a good... deal.

Trump is a single issue candidate. He will be a lib on a lot of the the other issues that are important to conservatives.

There are picture posted on FR making fun of Obabo fans standing in adoration and worship as he is speaking.

Its kind of funny seeing the same adoration with conservatives when it comes to Trump.

That is my take as well but he has demolished a myth and taken a liberal 3rd rail issue and has shown it has no voltage. Most liberal issues are like that; myths built around emotional buzzwords and lies. Trump shows how to strip one of them down and give conservatives the confidence that we hold the moral high ground, not the lawless Cretans on the left.

I think Trump will start to crumble when he pushes his DonaldCare alternative to ObamaCare. We just don't know Trump's stripes and which can change and which cannot.

I disagree. Trump is not a single issue candidate. He has already begun to stake out positions on illegal aliens, jobs, ISIS, healthcare, entitlements, the USA brand, Iran and I’m sure others. As I see it, he has been more specific than any other candidate on a lot of issues.
