Brent Bozell On Scott Walker Hiring Brad Dayspring: ‘Get Rid Of This Cretin Immediately’
dailycaller.com ^ | 7/1/15 | Beth Rothstein

Media Research Center President Brent Bozell has some rather harsh words for Brad Dayspring, the former National Republican Senatorial Committee strategist who is now working for presidential hopeful Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker‘s SuperPAC.

Dayspring is well-known for his hotheaded ways. His personality has even earned him a nickname in certain GOP circles: “Brad Dayscream.” As most who travel political Washington terrain know, when he departed then-House Maj. Leader Eric Cantor‘s office, he nearly came to blows with a senior staffer.

Bozell, who was speaking in his capacity as Chairman of ForAmerica, is obviously not president of the Brad Dayspring Fan Club.

“Gov. Walker should have known better than to hire Brad Dayspring, the worst GOP anti-conservative hit man in Washington,” Bozell wrote in a statement released Wednesday. “Brad Dayspring has a despicable record using character assassination to besmirch the reputations of conservative candidates and public policy leaders. He’s paid to do the ugly work of the Washington establishment. He is the personification of everything that’s wrong in politics today.

“Gov. Walker, people are policy. If you want conservatives’ support, you need to get rid of this cretin immediately.”

Like Rick Perry hiring the Barbours, not a good sign for Walker.

It means he will have a hatchet man, not against the Establishment, but against conservatives!

This Walker’s third terrible hire. You are known by the friends you keep....and hire.

Conservatives are going to be very disappointed with Walker.

Exactly. I am glad that someone like Brent Bozell is calling attention to this. Brad Dayscream is awful. "He is the personification of everything that’s wrong in politics today."

This is a bad, bad hire. If Walker doesn't immediately cut him loose, it says all that needs to be said about the Walker campaign.

CRUZ or lose.

I was leaning to voting for Walker. Now this gives me great pause. I do like Rick Perry but despise Boss Hogg Barbour.

So it looks like I will be voting for Cruz.

Walker is also “in” with Tokyo Rove.

America needs someone with the correct, conservative & Constitutional vision.

The “vision thing” is far more important than pushing someone because they were/are a governor - i.e. Carter, Clinton, Walker, et al

Well, not sure about the "very" part, but yes, he will be somewhat disappointing to conservatives at a minimum. All Wisconsin Republicans will. It's in their blood I think, this little inner liberal. That's why he's my second choice at this point.

He still has a very good record of accomplishment against the Wisconsin power left. But this is a red flag indeed.

TRUE, so so TRUE...and getting more true all the time. The job of President is not that of a CEO or an administrator....a President hires his managers and administrators...to carry out his (her) VISION. Reagan was a great President NOT because of his experience as Gov of California, but because of his vision!

Schmidt, Wallace and McKinnon....and Feheery, are all despicable. But apparently Dayspring is the worst of them all.

Despite Walker’s excellent record in taking on the unions in his state, what this choice means to me is that he’s never read a conservative website and that he has no conservative friends.

This choice demonstrates a political tone-deafness and personal-bubble-isolationism that is absolutely stunning.

I want to welcome you, Flavious, to the world of sanity.
I think there is nothing more difficult than seeing the truth and acting on it. Many people are not able to do that. It takes great courage.

It could be kind of like OJ hiring Dershowitz. If Walker has him, no one else can use him against Walker.

SRSLY?! Your theory is that Walker hired him in order to keep this anti-conservative attack dog twit out of the primary process.

SRSLY?!
