Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton is set to raise a record amount of money in her first quarter as a presidential candidate, exceeding expectations of her campaign.
Clinton is on track to raise more than $45 million in the April-June fundraising quarter, a Clinton campaign official said Wednesday. That would be more than any other primary candidate's first quarter in history. At $41.9 million during its first quarter in 2011, President Barack Obama's campaign held the previous record.
The Clinton campaign official said that 91% of the donations came from people giving $100 or less. Clinton, on Twitter, posted that she was "especially proud" of that figure.

A few threads below it was reported that Ben Carson raised $10.5 million.
Does anyone think that Ben Carson has almost 1/4 the name recognition of Hillary?

$45 million dollars in one qtr is considered the highest amount any politician has raised ... in their name. Not looking at outside group fund raising.
I have not read anyone else’s numbers for this qtr yet. I think the H campaign wanted to get out there w/ a big $ amount to slow down the Bernmentum from the far left wing of the D party.
Don’t think it will work. The yammering will continue.

Money laundering from the Clinton Foundation... Exactly. She's not raising squat - she's laundering millions in bribes. That, actually, might be the REAL point of her faux "run" in which she neither meets with reporters or actual people.

Lots of laundering going on, folks. And neither the government or the media will be curious or doubt Hitlery's word.

This all one big fat lie. The money she raises is through the Clinton Foundation Bribe/Slush Fund.

No, this is artfully worded: 91 percent of the donations, meaing the individual donations came from those sending $ 100 or less. Nine percent probably accounted for $44 million of the $45 million given to the aging crone.

But Democrats are far behind Republicans in super PAC fund-raising, which is poised to take on far more importance for both parties in the 2016 election cycle. The lead Democratic super PAC backing Mrs. Clinton, Priorities USA, is likely to fall short of the $15 million in contributions officials there had hoped to raise by the end of the second quarter. Super PACs backing Jeb Bush and Senator Ted Cruz of Texas are each most likely to report raising at least three times that amount.
