Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says there's not much Congress can do in the wake of the ruling by the Supreme Court legalizing gay marriage.
In an interview Tuesday night on Kentucky television station WDRB, McConnell restated that he still holds to the traditional view of marriage.
"I’ve always felt that marriage is between one man and one woman and the Supreme Court has held otherwise. That’s the law of the land," the Kentucky Republican said.
When he was asked if there is anything Congress can do, he answered: "I don’t think so. I think the courts have pretty well spoken."
However, McConnell said he is now concerned about "the potential problems with regard to religious liberty."

C., They were not ignorant. Come on. Reality time. For over a year prior and since Mitt, we have seen tens of thousands of freeper posts saying ‘it’s a lesser evil’ to justify voting for the Romneys and mitches and Jonbons of the GOP. Thats not debatable and you cannoth tell me all those people that to this day, literally this day, are merely ignorant. And thats just here. They do it on every right wing site, call in radio show and facebook/twitter.
Are they all ‘ignorant’? No They arent. Leftist? Yes. Stupid? Yes. Democrat? Some I’m sure.
Ignorant? Hardly.
There is a case to be made - and frankly I hate the turn coat Repubs more than I hate the liberal Democrats....but putting that anger aside, that emotion aside, more damage will be done quicker by the other side in power. More. Quicker.
That means, if we can ever turn it around, we’ll have further to go.

Well, Mich didn’t do much.
If they/GOP run a liberal then we will find out won’t we.
They've already chosen Jeb Bush for us. I believe that will be our "choice" in the end. They'll find a way to take out the others one by one.
Our choice in 2016 will be a Republicrat, or a Republicrat.

McConnell is a worthless piece of sh*t. What a confluence of events - a power-mad president, a runaway Supreme Court, and a spineless opposition party. It’s the perfect storm. Maybe it’s God’s doing....
