The Supreme Court is wrong. It’s pretty simple. They’re wrong. They’ve been wrong many times in the past, and seem to be wrong with an increasing regularity these days.
They were wrong yesterday when they announced that the federal government can offer Obamacare subsidies even though the law expressly gives that power to the states. They were wrong two years ago when they decided that the federal government has the right to force American citizens to buy a product from an insurance company. They were wrong 40 years ago when they said mothers have a constitutional right to murder their children. And they were wrong today when they took out their magical magnifying glass and found, perhaps transcribed in microscopic code on the fibers of the Constitution, a mysterious entitlement to homosexual marriage.
They were wrong, but our culture doesn’t care because it long ago stopped asking its leaders to be right. And it certainly doesn’t care about the law, which is why liberals have been able to make the Constitution into an indecipherable mystic scroll that morphs to accommodate the fashionable ideologies of the day. As such, it is dead. It might as well not exist.
So, despite the fact that neither marriage nor homosexuals are explicitly or implicitly or actually or metaphorically or literally mentioned in the Constitution, our nation will now celebrate as a few con artists in black robes pretend all that stuff is in there anyway. Then again, they hardly even pretended this time. The majority opinion legalizing gay marriage across the country and undoing the will of the people and their elected representatives in 14 states reads like a lengthy Facebook post written by a 17-year-old.

When you can define a word to mean anything you choose, words lose all meaning.

What gets me really upset is that so many people are like "if the Supreme court says it, it must be so." But the Supreme court doesn't even have the constitutional authority to rule on a case like this. They can only make decisions on constitutional matters. All other matters are for the states to decide. The Supreme court has overstepped the boundaries of its authority, therefore the ruling is invalid.
And it will end up frustrating the dictator in the end, because he becomes the king of a kingdom of nonsense.
Damn straight. For me, it stands for secession and for the preservation of culture against the Maoist nutjobs like Obama. The fact that it offends him is an added bonus.
It doesn’t deserve to be looked up to as a moral authority, if that’s what you mean.
Yeah, and women can’t vote and you don’t have to pay taxes either. Wise up.
I think there are way too many ‘invalid’ rulings, so many in fact that the court itself has become ‘invalid’. We only have loyalty to America as long as it follows the Constitution. Even the Founders said as much. It is now beyond that.

All Christians who abide by God’s Word should unite to form The Christian Church in Exile, divorcing themselves from this destructive government. As the Bible says, “We ought to obey God rather than man.” 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns Christians, “Do not be partners with unbelievers...What fellowship does light have with darkness?”
My thoughts?
This is all about power. We’re not a republic or even a democracy anymore. Where we’ve went wrong is believing in the rule of law. All those reasoned (absolutely correct) arguments about how the 14th Amendment does not mandate gay marriage were a complete waste of time. The leftists and their allies pissed on us and the rule of law. They saw the result they wanted, and they took it.
The rulings (SCOTUScare and sodomite “marriage) are a complete, legal joke. We’re supposed to respect the outcome? HA! They showed zero respect for us. It’s like playing a game of cards against a cheater. They pulled a wild card out of their sleeve, crammed it down our collective throats, and then expect us to act all nice about it. Screw that!
I have no reason to applaud or show any respect for anyone who celebrates this week’s two major injustices. Whether I agree or disagree with homosexuality or Obamacare is completely irrelevant to what just happened. What happened is a bunch of legal barbarians stomped us into the dirt.
BTW, don’t worry about a slippery slope regarding polygamy. I know this ruling could reasonably justify polygamy, but let’s not forget. If they can make up reasons why homosexuality went from being completely, constitutionally illegal 20 years ago to mandating homosexual abominations throughout the union today, they can give or take whatever the hell they want regardless.
We are ruled by oligarchs. That is fact. Land of the free, home of the brave my ass.
