What gets me really upset is that so many people are like "if the Supreme court says it, it must be so." But the Supreme court doesn't even have the constitutional authority to rule on a case like this. They can only make decisions on constitutional matters. All other matters are for the states to decide. The Supreme court has overstepped the boundaries of its authority, therefore the ruling is invalid.
It doesn’t deserve to be looked up to as a moral authority, if that’s what you mean.
I think there are way too many ‘invalid’ rulings, so many in fact that the court itself has become ‘invalid’. We only have loyalty to America as long as it follows the Constitution. Even the Founders said as much. It is now beyond that.

The Supreme Court has been doing this crap for something like 70 or 80 years now. We’re fools for thinking appeals to civility, our votes, and the law/constitution have any bearing on any of this. We’re subjects, not free citizens.
