The Treasury Department announced on June 17, that Hamilton would be replaced and diminished on the $10 bill in order to feature a woman to be announced at a later date. The goal is to have new bills out by 2020, the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment that guaranteed women the right to vote.
“Our democracy is a work in progress. We’ve always been committed to a more perfect union,” Treasury Secretary Jack Lew said according to CBS News. ”This decision to put a woman on the $10 reflects our aspirations for the future, as much as it is a reflection of the past.”
Secretary Lew said that Hamilton might not be outright replaced, but may be featured in a diminished role or on a limited number of bills. However, whether removed or diminished, shoving Hamilton aside on American currency is a slap in the face to the man often regarded as the father of the American financial system. Hamilton was arguably the greatest, and certainly most consequential, treasury secretary in American history. His statue in Washington D.C. stands right in front of the Treasury Department, which now insults his memory.

That the Treasury Department under Secretary Lew would so shamelessly ditch the man who truly made it great is an embarrassment. Americans should be outraged that a man as crucial as Hamilton to our country’s history and existence is being so thoughtlessly shunted aside for the insistent campaign that a woman be placed on American currency.

To even consider putting a woman on currency is to concede the foundation of the Liberal argument; That we have to be "fair" to unaccomplished people.

I am excited to see who will be the first gay person on U.S. currency. That can’t be far off. I wonder if it will be the $2 bill?
We are now suffering the consequences of having given females the right to vote. Had females not voted in 2008 and 2012, 0bammy would be walking the streets of Chicago as a mere citizen (questionably), spewing hatred for everything American.
So money is just a trophy, like the presidency. Next will be a minority on the $100 bill, then a gay on the $3, then a headchopper on the $5.

I wish it was that innocent. This is intentional, a further degradation of our founding roots.
I’m guessing it’ll be a black woman too. I do believe moochie is involved in this in some way........just got that feeling.
America is not and never has been a democracy.
God help us if we ever DO become a democracy. Just think about when 50.001% of the populace votes in favor of enslaving white people.
There is a rumor that in pure, raw numbers, White Americans are now below 50% of the population.
Just one more foundation that the enemy is destroying. This country is under attack from within and what makes it worse is the people we hired and pay to defend it, namely our CONGRESS, are in on it. They are taking a gamble the people won’t rebel. This is how totalitarianism takes over a country, the people never ever believe it can happen.

Unless she has died recently, she’s not eligible. Only deceased persons are allowed (by statute) on U. S. currency.
