A well-known "men's rights activist" blog is calling for a boycott of the postapocalyptic film "Mad Max: Fury Road" for being a "feminist piece of propaganda posing as a guy flick."
Author Aaron Clarey admits he has not seen the film yet, but his self-proclaimed "spidey sense" noticed that Charlize Theron "talked a lot during the trailers" for the film, and he said Tom Hardy only seemed to have cameo appearances. "Charlize Theron's character barked orders to Mad Max," writes Clarey on Return of Kings. "Nobody barks orders to Mad Max."
Clarey did not like reading reviews commending Theron for many of her action scenes, nor did he appreciate the news that the movie's director, George Miller, asked "Vagina Monologues" author Eve Ensler to consult with the five actresses who play sex slaves in the film.
Clarey writes that he is concerned "men in America and around the world are going to be duped by explosions, fire tornadoes, and desert raiders into seeing what is guaranteed to be nothing more than feminist propaganda, while at the same time being insulted AND tricked into viewing a piece of American culture ruined and rewritten right in front of their very eyes."
The movie -- like the original "Mad Max" trilogy -- was filmed in Australia and is directed and co-written by Miller, who is Australian.
Clarey feels Hollywood and Miller tricked him by making a movie that "visually looks amazing."
"Let us be clear. This is the vehicle by which they are guaranteed to force a lecture on feminism down your throat," writes Clarey. "This is the Trojan Horse feminists and Hollywood leftists will use to (vainly) insist on the trope women are equal to men in all things, including physique, strength, and logic."

And don’t forget, TONS of CGI graphics to make people do things and stunts so impossible that it ruins the movie. Even the trailer looks retarded.
I saw it last night
GO!
Not clear.
Did this guy Claret write the book?
Is he just some dude who is an author?
Clarey
if this idiot thinks that cheering for Charlize Theron while she blasts away at loser zombies, then he is the wimp for not cheering on Rhonda Rousey...
There’s other reasons I think scenes should have not been in the flick, but a lack of testosterone is NOT one of them
Excellent.
Thanks.

The girl-group reboot of "Ghostbusters" will probably be a hit, assuming it gets decent word of mouth after its opening weekend.
If you think Lucy Liu or Uma Thurman or Scarlett Johanson can put the beat-down on Steve Austin or Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallone, you need to get your testosterone checked. Same if you think Charlize Theron makes a good Mad Maxine.
Count me in. I won’t pay any money to see it now.
Really? I think you're romanticizing the past and forgetting just how cheesy those original films were - not to mention they didn't even makes sense continuity wise.
I didn’t see it, but George Miller made no bones about Happy Feet being a warning about global warming and he proudly cites hiring the writer of The Vagina Monologues to make sure the feminism of Fury Road was up to snuff, so it’s not like the guy is completely out of his mind.
Turn about is fair play...
I’ll watch it when it hits Netflix in a few months.
I liked the first movies, but will pass on this; the female superhero crap is just so far from the reality I deal with in the real world. The social engineering in movies today is unbearable to watch.
I’ve spent the last couple of years “working like a girl” (no more unpaid overtime) along with other men in the office, and bosses are unable to do anything without triggering some serious lawsuits. There is no “glass ceiling” anymore that isn’t self-created by woman refusing to do a man’s job (complete with the hours expected of male employees). The STEM push for women is being driven by the realization that affirmative action (at least in terms of Anglo women) has become legally indefensible; they are 59% of college classes now, and are hindered by their own motivation (starting with the majors they choose in said colleges). Once quotas and lawyers can’t be used to force women into high positions anymore, they will either disappear or “man up”...
It’s satire.
Isn’t it?
Yes, you gotta give her a hand.
Do not care.
Mel was Max.
I loved them, “cheesy” or not.
There’s no feminist agenda, unless having the females be something other than damsels in distress is an agenda. It’s a fun movie. The stunts just get crazier and crazier. Very kinetic, truly a great action movie, with just enough plot to glue it all together.
Have you seen the trailer for the new Supergirl series coming this fall? Jimmy Olsen is black.
Aaron Clarey should date Danielle Elina Pynnonen
