No Lie Was Off Limits to the Late Sarah Brady in Her Quest to Disarm Law-Abiding Americans.

Sarah Brady had been the face of Gun Control in America for more than three decades. However today at age 73 she has succumbed to a bout of pneumonia.

Brady became the convenient standard bearer for the forces that hate all guns and gun rights. This after a armed madman wounded her husband James Brady who was President Ronald Reagan’s Press Secretary during a 1981assassination attempt. Brady led a very deceptive campaign that was intended to incrementally outlaw all firearms. She cleverly began to change firearm adjectives and successfully demonized firearms based on simple cosmetics. Like Brady most Americans were ignorant about guns. She renamed all the firearms that looked somewhat scary as assault weapons.

At the end of the article:

" I will not mourn the loss of Sarah Brady. I do however mourn the loss of those who were murdered because they were enjoined by unconstitutional laws to defensive weapons. Government must stop insuring that only violent criminals are armed. "

Because we all know that the “A” in “AR” stands for assault. Right.

This harmful woman cared nothing for law abiding citizens. She made a lot of money, gained fame with the elitists, and became a predictable tyrant and zealot. There is no responsibility other than to speak of her fairly and tell the truth, dead or not.

I don't mourn the loss of any liberal that spent decades destroying the second amendment.

Who mourns the passing of another opportunitistic DC trough-feeder?

...Especially one who rolls out a drooling vegetable to cement her status as perpetual money-grubbing victim?

I’m sure Satan wasn’t looking forward to this arrival.

Sarah Brady exemplified dishonesty and the callous abuse of a disabled spouse.

I’ll bet Sarah helped sell more firearms than any individual prior to Obama. It delights me that she saw disarmament plans fail and the trends actually move in the opposite direction.

JOHN DONNE WAS WRONG!

When he said

No man is an island,
...
Any man's death diminishes me,
Quite to the contrary there any many whose death's enhance me. I'm much better of with this worthless bit of liberal garbage assuming room temperature than I would be with her running around spreading tyranny.

***She cleverly began to change firearm adjectives and successfully demonized firearms based on simple cosmetics.***

She did not start this, it was started back in 1962 when Thomas J Dodd and Emanuel Cellar proposed a handgun registration scheme. Long guns would not be affected, they said! Oh yes, they also wanted a BAN on the import of foreign “Saturday Night Specials” and 5 shot bolt action army surplus rifles. The real reason for this was to protect their own firearm industries in the NE.

Real demonization began in 1968 with the murder of Bobby Kennedy. Gun owners were put through hell in those years and Congress passed the 1968 gun control Act into law.

The libs were so thrilled to ban import of army surplus rifles and small handguns they failed to realize that the did not ban the very firearm used to kill Bobby.

So they then came back with demands to ban ALL handguns.

Anyone remember the 1970s when the anti-gunners discovered the SCOTUS Miller decision?

TV scripts began to play up the angle that RIFLES were good, AND protected under the Miller decision, but HANDGUNS were bad and not protected under the Miller decision because they were not standard military equipment for the common soldier who would be armed with a rifle. The Miller decision was really about a sawed off shotgun being legal if it was Military equipment.
The TV show ALL IN THE FAMILY mouthed this nonsense along with many others.

Now rifles are BAD, BAD, BAD!

Never trust a politician with your firearm rights!

Actually gun owners were referring to their semi-auto rifles as assault rifles well before Shugarman redefined them as “AS-S-S-AULT RIFLES!”

I have several gun magazines (GUN TESTS, GUNS AND AMMO) printed well before Shugarman. Before this time, Sugarman only wanted to ban handguns. Same for Handgun Control Inc.

It was Mel Tappan who started the assault rifle demand back around 1976 with his book SURVIVAL GUNS and a Guns and Ammo column on survivalism.

Before 1976 you could not give an AR-15 away (except to me) as everyone still wanted large caliber hunting rifles.

as did the house (huge majority)

For YEARS after Nixon won- (November 1968, took over in Jan 1969)- Republicans WERE BLAMED FOR every thing!-
Vietnam- increased national debt, cold war- rACE
RELATIONS- and of course EVIL guns-
