For many people the explanation of Obama's dealings with Iran are simple enough, he's a Muslim and he hates Jews.
But I thought Muslims didn't kill fellow Muslims. Why did Bin Laden get killed? There's explanation from the reaction of Marxist-Leninist (Communist) personalities to the events of 9/11.
Gerry Adams of Sinn Fein-IRA (a Soviet backed terror organization of renown in its more violent days) spoke in Dublin five days afterwards saying 9/11 was a "major setback" for "progressive movements" around the world.
His comments were echoed word for word months later by none other than one of the world's most renowned Marxist-Leninists (Communists) Cuba's Fidel Castro "major setback"-"progressive movements".
Bin Laden's over the top use of hijackings and bombings had discredited these tried and true methods of spreading Communism for the old Soviet backed Marxist-Leninist terror groups like the IRA, PLO and FARC among others.
Lets get back to Iran now.

Leftist journalist Glenn Greenwald was interviewed on Glenn Beck's show last week in connection with his book about Edward Snowden. Greenwald discussed other issues noting the Iranian regime was more "enlightened" than others in the region once one gets past the religious leadership and laws.
While the Ayatollah's have ultimate authority, they do entrust the day to day government activities to non-clerical politicians. What do those political leaders do?
Consider the nations Iran is friendly towards. I remember watching a BBC story about a cultural exchange between Iran and a friendly nation some years. There was an art exchange between Iran and Cuba.
And then there's North Korea, the most Communist of Communist countries. North Korea provides Iran expertise in developing nuclear weapons and hiding it from outsiders. Bill Clinton cut a deal on nukes and the North Koreans and they ended up breaking it.
One other thing, the notion of a country that believes in "God" having close relations with a country where belief in "God" means death and or a concentration camp is crazy unless there is some affinity under the surface.
More evidence of the Marxist nature of Iran's non-clerical government comes in its relationship with Venezuela. When the leader of "the revolution", Hugo Chavez, died Iran's then President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was on hand for the funeral. Ahmadinejad compared Chavez to an Islamic religious figure.
The Marxist-Leninist influence in Iran began in earnest during World War II. Iran became a conduit for US and British military aid to the Soviet Union. To secure the supply line British forces occupied southern Iran and Soviet forces occupied northern Iran including the capital Tehran. The Soviets brought in the secret police, spies and all the other tools to subvert Iranian society in the direction of Marx and Lenin.
Post World War II Iran came under the rule of the Mossadegh government that was socialist and pro-Soviet. This led to the CIA backed coup that installed anti-Communist Shah Reza Pahlevi.
Pahlevi modernized and westernized Iran and then in the 1970's riots and a revolution involving religious leaders and "students". President Jimmy Carter backed away from the Shah allowing the "Islamic Revolution" to take over the country.
Then dozens of Americans were taken hostage in 1979 by those "students" when they seized the US Embassy. The hostage takers were constantly talking about "American imperialism" a phrase that was standard for all the Communist propaganda I heard in those days on shortwave radio from Moscow, Havana and other points.
And of course, lets not forget their use of the signature phrase of Iran's "Islamic Revolution" "Death to America" that continues until this day.
In the end, I believe Obama's affinity for Iran has to do with his Marxist-Leninist heritage, Frank Marshall Davis, Bill Ayers and so on......
Back when Barack Obama and I were young it lined up as the Soviets-Communists aligned with the PLO-Palestinians. The Commies said the Palestinians were the oppressed and the Israelis the oppressors. The UN had a resolution back then that said Zionism was racism and the Reverend Jeremiah Wright said "Amen".
Dig into his background and look at his current staff and the answer is obvious.

I think a Marxist, a leftist at the end of the day. I really think that’s what’s in his gut. Any Muslim or Christian references are for show, for propaganda.
Absolutely agree about the Islamic schools and Iran-born Valerie Jarrett as BO’s big influences. Also, he was raised by wealthy communists who taught him that America is selfish and evil (and must be “transformed”). And then when the rest of us were learning at least something in high school, BO went through his last two years in a marijuana haze, as he brags in the book Bill Ayers wrote for him.

I’m fine with the Muslim/anti-American themes but the psychological component vis-a-vis his upbringing cannot be overlooked.
Simply put, Obama is addicted to adulation. This hardly makes him unique among politicians except that his addiction is as real as alcoholism, drug use, etc. He becomes agitated, depressed, angry, etc. when he doesn’t have a ‘fix.’
He has a dealer (Valerie Jarrett) and a host of enablers. The problem is that fixes have been harder to come by since his first day in office. Yes, he will always have the media on his side but let’s look at how his continent of support has become a lone island with the tide coming in.
2004: Cheered for making a speech to the most undemanding audience ever at the DNC
2008: Adoring campaign crowds and the runaway egomania of inauguration events in Chicago and DC
2008-12: Typical Democrat union back-scratching. Engineering a government hijacking of one of its iconic industries (automobiles) in order to keep union pensions solvent. Expansion of SEIU, AFCSME power. Obamacare.
2012: More campaign crowds, but mostly pro forma speeches, responses, etc. Focus on undermining opponent.
In the present day, the Obamaites are unable to muster the usual gormless human backdrop at some anonymous community college and he’s so sick of those turnouts he doesn’t try. Their applause is tepid, their interest nil. He still has his fund-raising friends but while he and they share a love of money and wacko left-wing causes, theirs is strictly a business arrangement.
So where does an addict turn? First, to people so poor, so desperate, so ignorant, so unwashed (literally and figuratively) that they will hail him as a savior: third world Latin Americans. Yes, he wants freshly-minted Democrat voters but he actually believes they will view him as a modern day Bolivar.
Domestic issues done. What about the international stage? Our allies are put off, bored, done. They’ve been around the block many more times than he and are simply waiting for his term to end, especially Merkel and the present/future UK coalition. They might be socialists but even they occasionally mind the store.
Israel? Obama’s naked hatred and anti-Semitism are obvious. He believes every word of PLO propaganda.
And so, in his frantic search for approbation he’s turned to the least likely place on earth: the enemy who held American hostages and is committed to the destruction of the US, Israel and the West. Yes, he really does believe they will paint murals of him in Tehran.
Because Rudy was right.
