LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- The Arkansas House of Representatives passed a "religious freedom" bill similar to the controversial measure in Indiana. The bill now heads to Gov. Asa Hutchinson's desk for signing into law.
Hutchinson said that he would approve the measure if it made it to his office, CBS News affiliate KTVH in Little Rock reported. The Arkansas version of the bill -- HB 1228 -- would prevent state and local governments from infringement on someone's religious beliefs unless there were a "compelling" reason.
Like the Indiana law, opponents say it would foster discrimination against the gay and lesbian community.
Local leaders and businesses including Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola, the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, and Acxiom Corporation have released statements urging Gov. Hutchinson to veto the bill.

flicked over to CNN and had to look up who the host was. He was Chris Cuomo and I have seen idiots on TV but this guy was like a rabid dog and had guests on his show to just put them down if they disagreed with him.
I never watch CNN but now I know why their ratings are in the tank and why those who do watch are completely stupid and ignorant.
Texas already has it.
Yes, that’s exactly what OldNavyVet said. We’re all a bunch of backwards bigots for not wanting to celebrate homosexual acts.
That’s what I thought. I remembered later that the poster has been told by Jim in the past about promoting homosexuality.
Not too surprising. Many counties around Little Rock Arkansas are "dry." In other words, Arkansas is backward.Given that, the word "bigot" also applies. Webster has it as ...
"bigot" ... "1. a person who holds blindly and intolerantly to a particular creed, opinion, etc." ... "2. a narrow minded, , prejudiced person."
Think about it.

You don't think that municipalities should be allowed to have their own regulations on the sale of alcohol? Why do you oppose this?
In other words, Arkansas is backward.
So, passing a law protecting religious freedom is "backwards"?

You think people are "bigots" for wanting to preserve religious freedom and resist the homosexual agenda?
Think about it.
I have thought about it.
Yesterday you were pushing euthanasia, a few days ago you were saying that Sodom and Gomorrah were burned because of a "religious war" and that many of the inhabitants were "innocent" and here you are calling people "bigots" for placing religious freedom above the homosexual agenda.
I have "thought about it" and I can only conclude that you are a troll who needs to be zotted immediately!

Agreed.
I read the post and thought I must have had it wrong as it was such a blatant attack on conservatives which the left wing always applies and then later I remembered a few weeks back the poster was told to stop pushing the homosexual agenda.
Now I have just read what you and wagglebee have written.
It is surprising to read something like that here, but it happens.
I would be prepared to take this text as sarcasm, but in light of the other posts that's impossible. He is a troll.
Do you have any more details on that?
well, bye
very true.
think the poster is a woman as I remember she was married to a navy vet many years ago.
a trouble maker... only problem with current method of doing a zot is that then we cannot see what the trouble maker had been yacking about in the recent past, or what their freepdate is. it would be nice to have a zot which does not destroy information.
She was going on in a certain way but not a direct way of pushing the homosexual agenda and insinuating we were bigots then.
I pinged Jim and he told her to knock it off.
I would have to go back many posts to find that and right now I don’t have that time, but if I get time later then I will ping you to it.
I figured it was someone who worked at Old Navy selling clothes.
