Dr. Ben Carson, the conservative activist who is considering a run for president in 2016, said Wednesday that he could prove that being gay is a choice since people "go into prison straight and when they come out, they're gay."
Appearing on CNN’s “New Day,” he said that people “absolutely” had a choice over their sexuality. Anchor Chris Cuomo then asked him why he thought that.
“Because a lot of people go into prison straight and when they come out, they’re gay,” Carson said. “So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question.”
He also said that giving gay couples more rights “does not require changing the definition of marriage.”
Carson, a pediatric neurosurgeon who has since turned his attention to politics, is one of many Republicans considering a presidential campaign. On Tuesday, he launched a presidential exploratory committee that will allow him to start fundraising more directly for a possible presidential bid.
His comments highlighted his conservative views of sexuality — which have gotten him in trouble before.
In 2013, he apologized for comparing marriage to pedophilia and bestiality when he said that marriage was a “fundamental pillar of society and no group, be they gays, be they NAMBLA, be they people who believe in bestiality — it doesn't matter what they are, they don't get to change the definition.”
Though he was scheduled to be the commencement speaker at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine that year, students demanded that Carson be dropped from the program because of his remarks. He ultimately chose to not speak.
Our nation is no longer interested in the truth.

A lot of guys, when they retire, they take up golf or fishing. Carson runs for president, and why anyone thinks he’s a serious selection for the nomination is beyond me.

Homosexuality defies science and nature. Only in the human species will we see this and yes I’ve seen the posts about animals showing homosexual traits. Every one I’ve seen can be simply explained as acts of aggression, dominance or herding and bachelor groups when males gather with males and females gather with females. When the male of a species other than human takes one for the team then I might be convinced. That is the golden standard!

For the most part, these men don’t leave prison “gay”. They exit prison “on-the-down-low”.
Their activities support and re-enforce the prison-culture of domination over ^lesser-beings^; their proof is in violating weaker men. Note that the aforementioned weaker men are also prison-refugees...of any and all color.
Inside, they impress themselves on other men to survive lest they be violated themselves (think: pitchers and catchers).
Outside of prison, they find a need to validate their prison-time, as well as their primacy in the local neighborhood, by violating others who would agree with their “natural ascendancy”...male or female (prison-chic). That’s why the “droopy-drawers” has become a fashion statement.
It makes no difference. There is a “pool” of prison refugees for these folks who will dominate. Each interaction (AKA; rectal-penetration) is a validation of the prison culture’s “domination” ethos.
Look at the sub-saharan tribal culture of “domination”. The urban community in the USA is regressing to tribalism.
This is great. Black Americans get what Ben Carson is saying and I’ve heard the same from blacks many times.
Of course the ‘reporter’ continues the lie that Carson compared marriage to bestiality. He actually appropriately lumped homosexuality, pedophilia and bestiality together.

I agree, but he does bring in different view points. Has anyone else brought up the fact of prison inmates and homosexual choice?
Using the behavior of animals as proof that certain behaviors are natural for humans is absurd. If one type of behavior (same sex “mating”) is proof that it is normal for humans, then you must be consistent and accept other behaviors in the animal kingdom. A dog will eat its own vomit-does that mean it’s acceptable and healthy for humans to do the same? Primates groom each other and eat the lice/bugs that they pick off-totally normal for people to do the same?
Obviously those who use the animal kingdom to prove that sodomy is “natural” do not follow that philosophy to its logical conclusion. Sodomy advocates who do this should be forced to be consistent in their views, they can’t use examples of animals to prove their point then turn around and borrow our worldview to say that we aren’t animals and some animal behavior isn’t healthy for humans.

I'm not voting for him either (unless he's the Republican candidate), but not for this reason. I am for Cruz, second Walker. I was once a radical left winger in my youth (product of the government school system), but I learned the truth. Ben has learned and kept a lot of that same truth. Your reasoning for not voting for him is flawed.

Well, I guess you don't use the Bible when it compares the good and bad in animals in comparison to humans. Frankly we learn a lot of good and bad things from animals, and I agree with Carson on this one. Homosexuals try to use the tactic of animal comparison as well, but their reasoning is flawed in there way of observing animals. Carson's is not.
I would like him to do the same, and it would be easy for him to do it. I did a position paper a while back on the same subject and all that was needed was a simple Google search to find out. Check it out and try yourself, there is a lot of back-up info on the subject of homosexual choice of people with and without criminal records.
