Wallace Presses Walker on Flip-Flop on Immigration [Obama, terrorism, abortion, budget, God]
Fox News ^ | March 1, 2015 | Chris Wallace interview with Scott Walker

Posted on 03/01/2015 1:18:01 PM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

Potential 2016 presidential candidate Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI) spoke with Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday" about his growing popularity, his record as governor and some of the controversies he's faced.

Wallace noted that Walker has taken some heat recently for refusing to say whether or not President Obama loves this country and whether or not he's a Christian.

"I am not going to take a manufactured media crisis and take and follow that path instead of going to the path that I think Americans want, which is leaders who will stand up and tell them where they stand on the issues that matter to them and talk about how you're going to ensure that that family that's been out of work for the last six months can find a way to be a part of this recovery, talk about how we're going to take the power out of Washington and put it in the hands of the hardworking taxpayers," Walker said.....

The media has never grilled Obama about anything. The Republicans should mention this quite often during interviews.

Scott Walker did a good job answering Chris Wallace’s questions.

It is possible, just possible, that Wallace is trying to prep Walker for the type of media proctological examination he is likely to endure as long as he is a candidate, and also if/when we wins the White House.

Republicans are waking up. Democrats lied to them - called them names... and were WRONG.

Our guys know NOW that they can oppose open borders without being xenophobic.

They can be critical of Al Sharpton without being racist.

And they can be proud of being an American without being provincial.

MORE Republicans need to EVOLVE... Grow UP... GET REAL... and share that with the MSM types like Chris Wallace.

“Yeah, I’ve changed... I’ve opened my eyes.. I discovered I don’t give a damn about names Democrats want to call me to belittle me. I’m secure in who I am...”

Walker knows how to fight and that is what we need…he has walked the walk…and he is still standing…do not expect the GOP to defend him….

Yes... a Moon Walker (Pun), smoothly walking backwards; it seems many find it entertaining; judging by all the applause.

Don’t understand why FOX continues to retain this virulently pro Democrat little weasel on its staff. While Whoraldo and Wan Williams are merely comical, this insect is very dangerous.

Not possible. Chris Wallace is an arrogant, snarky proctologist in his own right.

Immigration - both legal and illegal - is my number one issue.

Walker supported the Bush-McCain Amnesty in 2005-2006.

In 2013, he publicly supported a “path to citizenship.”

Now he's trying to claim he's “changed.”

I don't believe him.

It's the standard GOP camouflage:

(1) Support “vigorous enforcement” of existing laws.
(2) Then do nothing serious to make that happen.
(3) Do absolutely nothing to slow down massive LEGAL immigration.
(4) Actively support more work visas for bogus “high skill” foreigners.
(5) Then, after the election, try once more to shove Amnesty down our throats.

What the hell is wrong with people like you two? What candidate is your favorite? Is that candidate perfect? Walker is not perfect - no candidate is. But he seems to be a hell of lot better than Bush, Rand, Santorum, Christie.

Again, who is your preferred candidate?

Or how about simply saying....why does my view on immigration matter? Congress writes the laws and as President it would be my job to enforce them, regardless of my views. I know after the last 6 years that may seem strange to you but that’s what the Constitution says.

If the illegal aliens don’t return home and apply like everybody else who really IS an immigrant, then it is amnesty.
We either have the rule of law or we don’t.
We must elect a President who WILL uphold the rule of law after this one who won’t.

I hope he’s not just saying this because he thinks he has to and then doesn’t follow through.
I was disgusted to find out Bush actually decreased interior and border enforcement after 9/11.

Or we could just enforce the laws on the books and not do anything new...

How—by pretending he’s not pro-amnesty when he is?

Wallace, being a GOPe mouthpiece, actually didn’t press him on the non-answer denial.
