Walker supported the Bush-McCain Amnesty in 2005-2006.
In 2013, he publicly supported a “path to citizenship.”
Now he's trying to claim he's “changed.”
I don't believe him.
It's the standard GOP camouflage:
(1) Support “vigorous enforcement” of existing laws.
(2) Then do nothing serious to make that happen.
(3) Do absolutely nothing to slow down massive LEGAL immigration.
(4) Actively support more work visas for bogus “high skill” foreigners.
(5) Then, after the election, try once more to shove Amnesty down our throats.
You’re right not to believe him. All pro-amnesty pols say they aren’t for amnesty. But Walker hasn’t walked back any of his actual positions: arguing as recently as within the last two years for 1) immediate legalization, 2) eventual citizenship, and 3) being so pro-open borders than anyone who wants to can come here so easily legally that they won’t bother to cross illegally.
Given that, Walker’s two claims—that he’s for border security and e-verify—could not ring more hollow.
Friggin’ fraud.
