Again, who is your preferred candidate?
I would not try to speak for gwgn02, but I agree with him, so this is "what the hell is wrong with me".
Walker avoids even the mention of illegal immigration in his speeches; you can see and hear what he said and done in the past at the following link with a video in his own words.

There is much more out there about Walker that will come to light; as far as I'm concerned he is a Rino this will become increasingly evident; riding high now but he will fall, when it comes time for Walker to bow out it will be interesting to see who he throws his support behind; IMO he will disappoint.
I calls it as I sees it; Walker is walking back not because he changed his mind (I ain't buying it) but because he thinks it is politically expedient; you will see more of this in the future, he will be explaining his shifting positions on Common Core (again politically expedient), wait and see
The following is an extract see link below:
Ted Cruz: Ted Cruz is the only major candidate who has never supported or endorsed amnesty.
- End Obama's illegal amnesty via Congress' checks & balances. (Nov 2014)
- Defund amnesty, and refuse any nominees until rescinded. (Nov 2014)
- No path to citizenship for 1.65 million illegals in Texas. (Oct 2012)
- Give police more power to ask about immigration status. (Jun 2012)
- Boots on the ground, plus a wall. (Apr 2012)
- Triple the size of the Border Patrol. (Mar 2012)
- Strengthen border security and increase enforcement. (Jul 2011)
He's resolute, he's firm, he's good on most of the other issues, and he has Spanishy good looks. What more could you want?

There is a story in the New York Slimes that tries to imply he supports amnesty, you can find it and see how convoluted the story is; that is it, Cruz makes (No Amnesty) an issue in almost every speech; he does not hide or walk back what says; if he makes a mistake or changes a position he will own up to it immediately; and explain clearly what, why, when, where and how; by very close observation I am confident of this; he consistently demonstrates integrity; honesty and willingness to engage anyone at any time on any issue, he is always prepared; he is a thorn in the side of dems and rino's they hate him with a passion; he is their greatest fear.
I have followed Cruz closely since about his second month in congress when he appeared on a news show debate about gun control and beat the seasoned democrat Chuck Shumer severely about the head and shoulders (politically speaking); he made Shumer look like he was the freshman congressman; it was awesome; Shumer never appeared with him again; in fact if you noticed no democrat wants to be in ring with him; they will appear before or after but not with him; he is almost always interviewed alone or with another republican but never with dems or the Rino leadership... Cruz is the man for the times.
