Obama to ban bullets by executive action, threatens top-selling AR-15 rifle

As promised, President Obama is using executive actions to impose gun control on the nation, targeting the top-selling rifle in the country, the AR-15 style semi-automatic, with a ban on one of the most-used AR bullets by sportsmen and target shooters.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives this month revealed that it is putting the ban on 5.56mm ammo on a fast track, immediately driving up the price of the bullets and prompting retailers, including the huge outdoors company Cabela’s, to urge sportsmen to urge Congress to stop the president.

Only if you're already good enough to drive nails at 1000 yards and want to shoot out to 2000 yards. Until then I'd suggest .308/7.62 - its cheaper, easier to find and still good from 300 out to 1000 yards.

So what is your excuse for 2014? Seems we loaded up Congress, but what is that getting us?

We were all up on cloud nine over these last two elections and taking the Congress
by storm. But the storm fizzled and the party is over.

Now America has a Boehner hangover and nowhere else to turn for upholding Constitutional law

The only way out is a Conservative constitutionalist in the WH. At least we have

I'm tired of people blaming conservatives who refused to vote for yet another liberal Republican. Do you realize that no matter who or how many people voted for Mitt, the outcome was pre-ordained? The Democrats are masters of voter fraud, plus they appeal to the free stuff crowd. And the Republicans did their part by anointing yet another losing candidate and refusing to actually run a campaign for Mitt. Mitt was token opposition at best. Republicans and Democrats conspired together to ensure 4 more years of Obama.

I think that assuming a Republican president in 2016, Congress should pass a law allowing a simple majority vote to override an executive order. (essentially a Congressional “veto”)

Nip it in the bud for future Statist Imperial presidents.
