Scott Walker’s insidious agnosticism [Another liberal's "brain" explodes]
Washington Post ^ | February 23, 2015 | Dana Milbank

Posted on 02/24/2015 10:26:20 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

".......But even when prompted with the facts, Walker — in Washington for the National Governors Association meeting — persisted, saying, “I’ve actually never talked about it or I haven’t read about that,” and, “I’ve never asked him that,” and, “You’ve asked me to make statements about people that I haven’t had a conversation with about that.”

This is an intriguing standard. I’ve never had a conversation with Walker about whether he’s a cannibal, a eunuch, a sleeper cell for the Islamic State, a sufferer of irritable bowel syndrome or a grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. By Walker’s logic, it would be fair for me to let stand the possibility that he just might be any of those — simply because I have no personal and direct refutation from him.

Walker justifies his agnosticism on grounds that he is avoiding gotcha questions. He caused a furor when he used the same logic last week to avoid saying whether Obama loves his country after Rudy Giuliani, at a dinner with Walker, volunteered his view that Obama does not. “To me, this is a classic example of why people hate Washington and, increasingly, they dislike the press,” he told my colleagues Balz and Costa, two of the best in the business.

This is insidious, and goes beyond last week’s questioning of Obama’s patriotism, because it allows Walker to wink and nod at the far-right fringe where people really believe that Obama is a Muslim from Kenya who hates America.........."

If Walker redirects the focus on his ability to prudently manage our nation’s budget, obey the oath that they take about honoring the Constitution and promise the public to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed,” [unlike some other presidents, cough-cough] he can set the press back, along with our current exec.

He has also stated he is a Muslim, by referring to “My Muslim faith” to an interviewer.

Granted it was Jesus who said it, but He did give us a test -

you will know them by their fruit.

I completely agree. But people have used that quote for their own means for a LONG time.

Around here, if a “weaker brother” sees me lift a beer to my lips, he’s “judging me by my fruit” that I am a non-Christian.

Thing is, it is also said, “judge not, lest you be judged”.

judge not, lest you be judged BY THE SAME MEASURE.

That’s the important part.

That’s one of the more dishonest bits of “reasoning” you are likely to read for a while.

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2015/02/walker-breaks-out-in-national-gop-race.html

2-24-2014: “PPP’s newest national Republican poll finds a clear leader in the race for the first time: Scott Walker is at 25% to 18% for Ben Carson, 17% for Jeb Bush, and 10% for Mike Huckabee. Rounding out the field of contenders are Chris Christie and Ted Cruz at 5%, Rand Paul at 4%, and Rick Perry and Marco Rubio at 3%.

Walker has more than doubled his support since his 11% standing on our January national poll, and Carson has moved up 3 points. Bush, Huckabee, Paul, and Perry have largely stayed in place while Cruz has dropped 4 points and Christie has dropped 2 points.

Walker is climbing fast in the polling because of his appeal to the most conservative elements of the Republican electorate. Among ‘very conservative’ voters he leads with 37% to 19% for Carson, 12% for Bush, and 11% for Huckabee. Bush has a similarly large lead over Walker with moderates at 34/12...the problem for Bush though is that there are two times more GOP primary voters who identify as ‘very conservative’ than there are ones who identify as moderates.

Bush is really struggling with conservative voters. Among ‘very conservative’ voters on this poll, just 37% rate Bush favorably to 43% with an unfavorable opinion. By comparison Carson is at 73/2, Walker at 68/3, and Cruz at 68/8 with those folks.

You can really see the divide between Walker and Bush’s support on issues like global warming and evolution. Among primary voters who believe in global warming 37% support Bush to only 2% who favor Walker. The problem for him is that only 25% of GOP voters say they do believe in global warming- and among the 66% who don’t Walker has the 35/10 advantage over Bush. It’s a similar story on evolution. Among voters who believe in evolution Walker and Bush run pretty much even at 24/23. But that’s just 37% of primary voters, and with the other 49% of them who don’t believe in it Walker has a substantial advantage over Bush at 28/13.

The struggles Bush is having with some Republican primary voters don’t seem to have anything to do with his brother’s legacy. George W. Bush has a 74/21 favorability rating with them, and the closest any of this year’s candidates get to that is a 56% favorability for Mike Huckabee. And the former President has plenty of credibility with conservatives- among those rating themselves as ‘very conservative’ his favorability is 81/14 compared to his brother’s 37/43. It’s Jeb’s record on certain issues rather than his last name that is causing his issues.”..........

What does Hillary or Warren have to say about the welfare-caused destruction of the Black family? Ask those two why we need a permit to exercise our second amendment rights

Well Dana, when your liberal buddies in the media accuse Walker of all those things and more, I really doubt that Scott Walker will throw fits because you didn’t defend him.

I couldn't possibly say -- but I'll venture a guess:

"You didn't destroy that! It took the progressive agenda to destroy the black family! It took a liberal village to lay waste to the black family."

Here it is...Walker has never made any statement whatsoever about Obama's private beliefs. But since some other conservative made a statement about the matter, Walker is expected to immediately condemn the other conservative and then further make statements about the presidents personal life that he doesn't know anything about.

Only libs demand these things. Of course, it's all a part of the media plot to destroy Walker before the 2016 election.

I put that in a lib’s face once - that their welfare policies were directly responsible for the destruction of the black family, and she looked like I’d slapped her.

That’s when I realized that libs have their righteousness wrapped up in the advocacy for gov’t “helping” people.

"what they think of Obama"

For lib media members all that matters in any political discussion is how it affects Obama's reputation. Doesn't matter if what the accuser says about Obama is true or not, the chief concern of all lib media members is to absolve King Barack of any wrongdoing.

You can bet a hypocritical skunk like Milbank never concerned himself with protecting Bush II's reputation when he was slandered daily by assorted libs and leftists during his presidency. Then it was just speaking truth to power.

Scott Walker is going to cause Dana Milbank to burst an aneurism in his brain before all is said and done. This man is in a stone cold panic over the thought of Walker winning the White House. He is apoplectic and terrified of Walker more than 1-1/2 years away from the actual election.

Obama is Christian, and he frequently speaks about it in public.
And for two decades he belonged to a church dedicated to the “Black Liberation Theology" not hospitable to most American Christians.

He also has criticized the history of Christianity in a context - a National Prayer Breakfast -
in which a Christian would normally expect encouragement, not gratuitous criticism.

And he has also alluded to “my muslim faith.”

”To his own Master he stands or falls,” the Bible tells us.

Milbank has his snout so far up Obama’s posterior, that when King Barack opens his mouth you can Milbank’s nose in the back of Barack’s throat.
