More than two dozen Madison families woke up to vulgar language and ethnic and racial slurs spray-painted on their property Saturday.
At least 30 west side homes – including garage doors, driveways and vehicles - were vandalized overnight, according to Madison Police Officer David Dexheimer. The complaints came from areas west of Gammon Road, including Colony Drive, Millstone Road, Harvest Hill Road and others. The damage is estimated at well over $10,000.
“I think we're talking about felony types of damage,” Dexheimer said.
While most of the damage included profane language and explicit drawings, several contained racially-based and anti-Semitic slurs and swastikas. Some of that property damage, located on Brule Circle, has neighbors in the community calling the incident a hate crime.
"Everyone in the neighborhood is pretty upset,” says Jim Stein, a neighbor who has lived on the street for 18 years.
Stein woke up Saturday morning to see “F--- Jews” written on a garage door right across the street. Later in the day, once the snow cleared, a swastika was visible on the driveway.
"It was, of course, extremely disturbing to me," said Stein, who is the president of the Jewish Federation of Madison. "This is anti-Semitic to the extent people feel comfortable equating Jewish people or the Jewish religion with sexual terms and sexual parts of people’s bodies."

This isn’t religious hatred by Muslims at all. How could anyone think it so? It was just random neighborhood garage pranks by playful white Christian children. Nothing to see here, folks. Let’s all move along and get back to prosecuting all these hate crimes against Muslims.

Poor headline-writing alert! While the graffiti could have been interpreted as a complaint, this is not what they meant.
Get off your high horse. This is just some random folks expressing their opinion. We must protect their right to express their opinion, that’s what the United States is about. Let’s not get wee weed up about this.

Such a statement, repeated on air by this bimbo suggests the effort would have been acceptable/understandable if the perpetrator got the right house? Unbelievable.

Are they saying that there was no hatred involved, or it wasn’t a crime? Or are they saying that there was hatred, but it wasn’t great enough to rise to the level of criminality? Or are they saying that the right group is being hated, so it’s not considered a crime?
Or are they saying that, perhaps, the right group is doing the hating, so it’s not a hate crime? That seems the best fit here.

Multicultural Madistan. Every culture has their customs which, though distasteful (even dangerous) to others should be respected. Interesting the coverage seems to be mostly in Jewish or foreign publications. Thus far the Capital Times seems to have missed it, as has Madison.com
