According to Warren Burger that is only what you can own.

The Founding Fathers clearly never intended that mere citizens have the latest high tech military weapon, the flintlock...

Some officers may use their authority to make you feel obligated to prove your innocence by asking “What do you have to hide?”

"Officer, I have nothing to hide, but I do have a Constitution to protect."

...the same Constitution you swore and oath to protect...

...You did swear an oath, didn't you???

Sooooo, if it was anything greater than .375 caliber, he’s OK, right?

You have to have a Firearm ID Card to buy a firearm or handgun ammunition in New Jersey. To buy a long gun, the FID is all that is needed. To buy a handgun, you also have to get a handgun permit from your local PD.

I would assume that having a Firearm ID Card puts you on a list that pops up whenever you get stopped for a traffic violation.

Ought to be interesting to see how a ballistics test turns out, considering it would have no rifling and they would probably destroy the gun in the process

This should warrant an instant pardon from the governor.

Refuse a search and be take in for questioning, and have your car towed away.

A judge will grant a search warrant based on an officer’s whim in most cases. If not, you will be setting by the side of the road waiting for hours anyway.

You can’t win anymore.

I’m 20 minutes from trenton and the only reason I would go to jersey would be for the same reason General Washington did.

Sounds like the Fed regulations and MD’s. In Florida, you can, without a CCW permit, have a loaded gun concealed in the car because your car is regarded as an extension of your home, in terms of your property and also a place you can retire to if threatened. Of course, a CCW permit is a lot easier to get than in NJ or MD, if you want one.

Aren’t flintlocks black powder? It was my understanding that black powder weapons were legal in all 50 states.
