The Romney Statement: Not Running. "I’ve decided it is best to give other leaders in the Party...."

I’ve been emailed this text of remarks Mitt Romney will be making to his supporters shortly:

Let me begin by letting you know who else is on this call, besides Ann and me. There are a large number of people who signed on to be leaders of our 2016 finance effort. In addition, state political leadership from several of the early primary states are on the line. And here in New York City, and on the phone, are people who have been helping me think through how to build a new team, as well as supporters from the past who have all been kind enough to volunteer their time during this deliberation stage. Welcome, and thank you. Your loyalty and friendship, and your desire to see the country with new, competent and conservative leadership warms my heart.

After putting considerable thought into making another run for president, I’ve decided it is best to give other leaders in the Party the opportunity to become our next nominee.

It’s up at drudge now that Romney is having dinner with Cristie tonight.

Asking Krispie to drop out and support Walker.

This is crunch time, folks. If we don’t stop this Walker fake momentum, it’ll be decided for him by May. Anybody ever see Walker and Cruz in pics together? No. Walker’s in it for ego, not reversing the incalculabe damage done by the left over six years. If Walker can’t stop WI from voting for Zero twice, how is he going to get other blue/purple states from voting for Hillary!?!?!

Here's the sad thing:

Many FREEPERs who applaud this are the very ones who went "temp-RINO" on us, wasting their vote by voting for loser Romney!

"Personally I love Ted Cruz, but I think Walker is more viable and has a proven track record in getting the job done over the objections of liberals. He has stuck to his guns and pushed his agenda and won! "

Areed. Although Walker is not perfect, he is our best conservative hope. Now that he is working on his delivery and becoming more personable, he may appeal more to the "cult of personality" voters who are so enamered with smooth talking policicians, and not their prior accomplishments. Witness Obambi.

I believe if he continues on this trend, he will have the ability to counter Her Thingness gift of gab (and probably physical makeover) in the general election.

Walker’s closed abortion clinics, Cruz ain’t done nothing in that department. Sorry, that’s the way it is. Ultrasound, don’t value life, so be it but those are cheapshots.

As if Texas would have voted for Obama if Cruz hadn’t been around.

” Well, he wasn’t wrong because Walker said nothing about giving illegals citizenship.”

They don’t WANT citizenship. Find a poll that says they
do!

So you are proud of the part you played in putting Obama in the WH?

Cruz closed the Fed.gov, and was richly rewarded by the electorate, leaving Dingy Harry a has-been.

Have you noticed Walker hasn’t any enemies? Because he wouldn’t change anything, just status-quo it for 8 years.

I don’t really have a problem with true “back of the line” amnesty. If they actually have to self deport and apply for residency from their home countries the vast majority will never return legally. If the border is secured it will make it more difficult for them to return illegal.

I see true “back of the line” amnesty as a bone to throw to those who are a bit soft on illegals and also a trap to get a good number of illegals to leave and never return.

What you say is true and should be repeated as I did below in quotes. This was the democrats plan and the democrat Congress’ plan when they passed the 1965 immigration act to destroy America, and turn into what Venezuela is now a collapsed socialist state , a balkanized state.

“Darn shame that he holds those views, because it’s a complete deal breaker for most of us. I won’t vote for anyone who’s on board with throwing the doors open to a third world invasion of our country.

What this country actually needs, is a twenty-five year moratorium on ALL immigration. We’ve already got tens of millions here who haven’t assimilated, and who are busy creating foreign countries within our midst. If that’s allowed to continue, our America will be diluted into nothingness.”

Thanks for getting the links! Freepers are the best.

It is amazing that the so called Conservative politicians on our side cannot see destructiveness of 10s of millions of citizens from other countries invading our land with the intent of getting "freebies" and with the intention of never assimilating, nor learning English.

Thomas Sowell has written about the destructiveness of just such a situation.

A nation can survive only if it has secure borders, a single culture and a single language.

I’m for Cruz over Walker; but all the same, I’m not going to criticize Walker when his administration has defunded Planned Parenthood, closed down abortion clinics, beat the Union and did all humbly.

Walker’s position on immigration may not be that different from the bill Cruz introduced to congress. Walker said nothing about citizenship. http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/scott-walker-clarifies-his-stance-in-illegal-immigration-debate-lm8vluj-194096481.html

Cruz speaks a lot like Rush Limbaugh. He has done well, I support him but I’m not going to knock some others who are accomplished.
