The Romney Statement: Not Running. "I’ve decided it is best to give other leaders in the Party...."

I’ve been emailed this text of remarks Mitt Romney will be making to his supporters shortly:

Let me begin by letting you know who else is on this call, besides Ann and me. There are a large number of people who signed on to be leaders of our 2016 finance effort. In addition, state political leadership from several of the early primary states are on the line. And here in New York City, and on the phone, are people who have been helping me think through how to build a new team, as well as supporters from the past who have all been kind enough to volunteer their time during this deliberation stage. Welcome, and thank you. Your loyalty and friendship, and your desire to see the country with new, competent and conservative leadership warms my heart.

After putting considerable thought into making another run for president, I’ve decided it is best to give other leaders in the Party the opportunity to become our next nominee.

And Rush is trying to move Walker above Cruz' REAL stance; screw the FNC and other push-polls!

But Walker’s actual comments - made in a webcast with Politico in D.C. - were ambiguous on what has been the most contentious question in the broad immigration debate: the status of millions of people living in the U.S. illegally. Walker never mentioned citizenship in his comments.

“And he told the Journal Sentinel in an interview Sunday he hasn’t taken a position on citizenship for illegal immigrants.

A high-profile governor now mentioned as a potential presidential candidate, Walker gets increasingly asked about national issues, as he was in a flurry of interviews last week during the National Governors Association meeting in Washington.”

” screw the FNC and other push-polls!”

Murdoch is a globalist, pro amnesty billionaire prick. FNC has been pumping amnesty for years. ZAnd I quit watching FNC for this reason alone.

Did you see that’s a FiveThirtyEight - Nate Silver - data compilation? Cruz is ahead of Walker and must be stopped at all costs. That’s why he gets no mention anywhere anytime in the MenSeekingMen.

Sounds like Romney is pulling for someone like Scott Walker, not Bush or Christie, with his comment about less known candidates.
Nominating ANOTHER Bush would be a disaster for the GOP and would be another incarnation of Bush 43. Way too liberal on lots of issues. Bush would alienate the Conservative Base and loose big time.

I think it is safe to say in this forum that the best candidate to save our country is Ted Cruz.

The “Hold my nose and pull the lever” group is Walker and Perry.

The rest can ride off into the sunset in the clown car they came in.

Agree. I loved the caller who straightened Rush out about the difference between Walker and Cruz.

I have to give Walker the edge because he’s been a highly successful Governor who’s cleaned house in his state. That translates well on the national stage.

And as I stated, Rush embarked on a long, rambling, almost tortuous discourse....LOL.

He hates to be wrong : )

Ralph. Nobody in that pic has military service. Just a bunch of wonks for amnesty and Hillary/Romney/Obamacare.

The Bushes have close relations with the Saudis not to mention the English throne. I have always considered it a paradox that the US supported the throne but fought against the Arabs who supported Hitler. Somewhere in that mixed up world are the Rothchilds and even Soros.

I agree, I don’t know if Walker can get the national exposure but he’s accomplished a lot in Wisconsin. We will see. Some pundits don’t give him or Cruz that much time.

Per immigration, Walker said nothing about citizenship, Cruz brought up a bill giving legal temporary status to illegals that could become permanent status (if the wall was built). And we know the wall will probably never be built, at least, not under a Democrat.

The Repubs are in a pickle now, the Dems were doing such a kickup job completing
all those WH.Socialist.Communist agendas. Now the Repubs have to really lose to
get this country back on track to dictatorship and control. I'm not kidding.

Well, he wasn’t wrong because Walker said nothing about giving illegals citizenship.

So it’s nothing but the liars and smearers who are making this up.
