Okay, so what is the Presidential Palace in Yemen, a double-wide?

You forget how it works. Elites get all the money, then build palaces, even if the poor have nothing to eat. It goes on here, too.

Dangit. I have to cancel my vacation plans again. Maybe I can still get to Sierra Leone.

So the Islamic terrorist in Yemen, who claimed responsibility for the French attack, are now losing Yemen to their Islamic rebel rivals. Yeah, Europe has a bright future.

I hear there are openings for surfing vacations to the Ross Sea! Of course wet suits are optional. Hang five! Too cold to hang ten.

Militant Unitarians. They’re burning question marks on the Palace lawn.

The Iwo Jima probably carries some V-22's. Here is a pic of when they carried the old heliopters.

White House denounces new violence in Yemen

By Justin Sink - 01/20/15 12:32 PM EST
The White House on Tuesday condemned violence in Yemen, where heavy fighting between the government and a group of minority Shiite Muslims has spilled into the streets of the capitol city of Sanaa.

President Obama is “very interested in pursuing a peaceful solution” and receiving regular updates from his national security team, senior adviser Valerie Jarrett said Tuesday in an interview with MSNBC.

“He’s obviously in touch with the folks on the ground, the embassy,” Jarrett said, adding that keeping U.S. diplomatic workers safe was Obama’s “top priority.”

Earlier Tuesday, UPI reported that unidentified militants fired shots at a vehicle containing U.S. diplomatic staff, but that none were injured.

Rebels have seized state media outlets and the presidential palace, and attacks continued on the prime minister’s residence, according to multiple media reports. That’s despite a cease-fire signed Monday after nine people were killed and 67 others were injured.

The State Department said Monday it had no plans to evacuate the U.S. embassy, and Jarrett deflected a question on the possibility in her interview with MSNBC.

“I don’t want to get ahead of ourselves,” Jarrett said.

but but but, Obama said Yemen was an example of our success in the middle east. I think he needs to go over and personally view this for what it is and not rely upon some obvious mis report by FOX news.

The easiest solution to the fighting is for the government to surrender, but I hope that isn’t what Obama is hoping for.

The deal is between Russia, the People’s Republic of China, and Iran. I think it deals with Iraq and Syria, and allowing Iran and Syria to split the two countries once ISIS is eliminated.

Look for something like this:

Operation Silver Wake.

I haven't been keeping up lately but we had a fair number of "trainers" in country helping their military root out the terrorists. Most of them weren't in the capitol.

Ironically Yemen has been flooded in recent years by refugees from Somalia and Eritrea. It’s got to be bad when you’re fleeing TO Yemen.

Interesting.

In 1994 I realized it was finally time to leave when our file clerk got a letter from his mom, begging him to come home where it was safe, in Somalia.

Hard to feel bad for Saudi Arabia. They were double dealing with us while playing footsie with these people. Now those fellow travelers are turning on them and make no mistake all of these warring Islamic terrorists have Saudi Arabia in their sights.
