EXCLUSIVE — SEAN HANNITY CALLS FOR TREY GOWDY TO REPLACE BOEHNER AS SPEAKER, GOWDY DECLINES
Breitbart ^ | December 30, 2014 | by MATTHEW BOYLE

Posted on 12/30/2014 5:01:53 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Fox News host Sean Hannity, also a nationally-syndicated radio host, tells Breitbart News exclusively that he thinks Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) should challenge Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) for the Speakership of the House.

“The American people need bold inspiring solutions to reverse the damaging policies of the President and his party,” Hannity said in an email. “This is not a time for half measures. It’s time for new dynamic leadership in the House of Representatives. Trey Gowdy is my choice for speaker. He has the ability to articulate and implement the changes needed to get the country on the right path.”

Gowdy has a “plan to balance the budget, secure the borders, push for energy independence and replace Obamacare with personal healthcare savings accounts,” Hannity said, adding that Boehner has burned conservatives far too much.

“John Boehner has snubbed and ignored conservatives for too long, as evidenced by the recent cromnibus budget deal he made with Obama, Reid and Hoyer,” Hannity said. “It’s time he step aside for the good of country and the conservative movement.”

Gowdy, through spokeswoman Amanda Duvall, declined the invitation from Hannity to challenge Boehner.

“Rep. Gowdy has said his time and attention will continue to be devoted to the work assigned to him,” Duvall said in an email in response to Hannity’s quote. “He is not interested in any leadership positions and believes one can have influence without the title.”

You acolytes of Alinsky go far and wide it would seem.

You're obviously sick and lonely.........Find a church to spend the rest of tonight since it's the last day of the year.

Then tomorrow or the day after, go out and get yourself a companion cat or dog........

I don’t like this approach from Sean. Trey is in a good position where he is .. and there are others who can take the lead of the House .. but to say that to Trey - openly - that’s awful. If Trey agreed .. he would be marked for destruction.

Leave Congress alone .. just use your phone and call everybody you can and complain about their stupid actions. Tell them they’re going to be out of a job in 2016 if they don’t get their act together NOW; stop bowing to Obama ..!!

And .. the GOPe think the Tea Party is DEAD ..?? Poor things .. they are terrified of us .. so lets let them hear from us and tell them we’re not going to let up until they start listening to the PEOPLE and not the DEMOCRATS.

That's all you got. Alinsky-style ridicule when you got called on the carpet for demanding party over principles and castigating Conservatives who will not pull the lever for your liberal left RINO candidates.

Do please continue to illustrate with your projecting and your ridicule that there is little difference in those who support the Democrat Party or shill for the Establishment GOP. A lot of the same cloth there.

I agree. Hannity is pure Kabuki theater.

In my opinion, he uses conservative movements to make money. Not to influence legislation.

I think I agree with you that this is one of his BIG reasons. I do think there are others. You can’t be “loved” as Speaker. Half hate you and half like you.

I like Gowdy a lot compared to ........SAY.......Chuck Schumer!

But, the sum total of ALL hearings on Benghazi or IRS or F & F or Executive Actions is Zilch! Nobody has had charges filed against them, the Contempt of Congress citation to EH languishes and nobody’s in jail while Lerner continues a lavish salary while performing zero work for the American People.

If I have mis-stated something, please let me know.

I’d go for a Louie Gohmert speakership way before Gowdy.

Hannity is a total poser. He even employs a radical Leftist (Flipper) as his producer. No true conservative would do that.

Does that count?

It’s funny how when I post something from Breitbart it always gets put in Bloggers & Personal never to see the light of day or recently was just plain deleted. New policy?

I liked Gowdy a lot too. I watched 2 of the F&F hearings. Made me sick. Realized what BS it all was. The Dems only talked about Civil Rights issues and praised Holder during their “questions”.

Your post is spot on. To the degree that I wonder if Gowdy is just part of congressional theatrics. I hope not but if I had to bet money, I know where I’d place my bet.

The corruption and appeasement is so thick.

“John Boehner has snubbed and ignored conservatives for too long, as evidenced by the recent cromnibus budget deal he made with Obama, Reid and Hoyer,” Hannity said. “It’s time he step aside for the good of country and the conservative movement.”

The GOP leadership team - Boner and McConnell - are conducting war to destroy their CONSERVATIVE base and they will rue the day, look for that evidence in 2016.

Yet Again Republicans Fight Grassroot Conservatives Harder Than They Fight The Democrats

The message the speaker just sent to the grassroots of the Republican Party is that race-baiting your own base to win a senate primary in Mississippi is good politics, but standing up to a president who is singlehandedly doing more to dismantle American exceptionalism than any political figure in our history is bad politics. Yet again the GOP establishment fights its own base with more ruthlessness than it opposes Obama.

So you do have a dog named "Bingo", eh?

The left despises Gohmert.

They gave us Nancy Pelosi -- which shows that they despise middle-America (the silent majority?) even more.

Gohmert's positions and persona are not the half 'extreme' as that pathologically lying, extremist Democrat Party partisan, Nancy Pelosi.

Time and again when encountering people --- say, while standing in the checkout line at the grocery store, whenever I venture to make even brief, political observational comment, one of the most common responses is "they are all the same" "it's all one party".

There is some truth to that, which is why many Republicans possibly would oppose Gohmert, since he may take them to task concerning government programs and spending -- which is the exact thing we need -- better oversight, for starters.

BUT -- the two main political Parties are very much not the same, for the Republicans do not have a Nancy Pelosi, a Harry Reid, or stealth-racist Socialist from Chicago who is doing all he can to damage everything, every principle that in decades (and for centuries) previous played their own roles, when taken altogether, made this nation among the most prosperous, powerful and globally influential in policy & philosophy (human rights, anyone?) which underscores dignity and Freedom for --- individuals, which the world has ever known.

We can (and should) thank God for those things which did work, and do bring widely enjoyed 'blessing', for that is where "what works", all comes from in the first place!

But of course the Democrat Party is increasingly the Party of the God-less, even as some human-rights type of consciousness prevails among Democrats, the god-fearing among the conservatives are characterized as heartless.

Yeah, right. We are as heartless as the parents of the 9 year old girl who refuse to buy their daughter a pony -- to put in the backyard of their suburban housing development home, or tell their 19 year old, but still lives at home son -- "no! you cannot have the keys to my 4-wheel drive truck (which I use for work) to go party with your irresponsible friends. Don't you remember how your friend Todd rolled that pick-up I helped you buy six months ago -- right into a ditch, totaling it?"

We could go have another look at just about every single "green" solar power initiative which Obama held up as model, or example of how things should be done. Many of them --- went right into the ditch. Those which have not -- do not provide competitively priced power, and never will.

They provide significantly higher priced basic electricity (if or when they do at all) which itself was subsidized by the taxpayers, enriching Democrat Party donors in the process. In fact that enriching of a select few does appear to have been the fundamental purpose of the projects, the profits generated going right into so-called 'fat-cat' pockets.

Somehow -- Republicans are blamed for all of this, even though few were for these sort of things, and none themselves much directly benefited in the way of campaign $$$, or their own and their own relatives personal financial interests.

Harry Reid's son stands to profit handsomely from government manipulations of land use regulations, coupled with both energy generation regulations and taxpayer subsidies, and one of Joe Biden's sons in particular has already made millions -- as a "consultant" wasn't it? These kind of things are what the low-info voter perceives as the way of all Republicans, but not much at all those of Democrat Party, as if the Dems are not the Party of corruption. What a fantasy that is. And when Democrats are caught -- and then LIE LIE LIE, well that's ok because everyone expects Democrats to lie, to try to put the best face on ugly.

The ninnies that think both parties are the same -- and then consistently vote for Democrat Party candidates, are the type of low-info voters who are easily swayed by the quick sound-bite, leftists smears of Republicans such as Gohmert.

The squishy RINO Republicans fear the abilities of the (perennially perturbed) Rachel Maddows and the rest of the left-wing spin doctors whose efforts focus upon manipulating opinions, and short-term opinion polls?

Screw them. Seriesly. Screw them (Democrat Party leftists, and their enablers too) in any and every way possible!

Make it hurt. Destroy them politically -- as much as possible, in every way.

It does_not_matter which Republican says ANYTHING about anything --- the Dem Party is the Party of hate, and hater's gonna' hate. It is time for cunning, it is time to dish it right back, but not lose sight of what the greater, more fundamental causes truly are.

We may as well (now that there have been more seats gained in the House, and the Senate) play for all the marbles.

Gohmert would retain focus upon spending, more than most?

Are the American taxpayers getting what they are being increasing indebted for? Or is a whole lot of that, "a million here and million there, and pretty soon we are talking about serious $$$" going to DemoRat Party sycophants and expansion of DemoRAT Party interests, at the direct expense of those whom have other views and opinions, you know, like the rest of us?

Like --me and you (and your dog named --- Bingo).
