Fox News host Sean Hannity, also a nationally-syndicated radio host, tells Breitbart News exclusively that he thinks Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) should challenge Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) for the Speakership of the House.
The American people need bold inspiring solutions to reverse the damaging policies of the President and his party, Hannity said in an email. This is not a time for half measures. Its time for new dynamic leadership in the House of Representatives. Trey Gowdy is my choice for speaker. He has the ability to articulate and implement the changes needed to get the country on the right path.
Gowdy has a plan to balance the budget, secure the borders, push for energy independence and replace Obamacare with personal healthcare savings accounts, Hannity said, adding that Boehner has burned conservatives far too much.
John Boehner has snubbed and ignored conservatives for too long, as evidenced by the recent cromnibus budget deal he made with Obama, Reid and Hoyer, Hannity said. Its time he step aside for the good of country and the conservative movement.
Gowdy, through spokeswoman Amanda Duvall, declined the invitation from Hannity to challenge Boehner.
Rep. Gowdy has said his time and attention will continue to be devoted to the work assigned to him, Duvall said in an email in response to Hannitys quote. He is not interested in any leadership positions and believes one can have influence without the title.

This idea mustve been getting some traction.
Gowdy out. Now it is up to Jordan
Gowdy does not want to give up his new big office (for a broom closet) or his seee-lect committee
That’s because TREY knows he’s not a true immigration-fighter like Gohmert. GET A CLUE!
I hope to be putting up some info tonight or tomorrow on a grassroots/rank and file effort to dump Boehner. Will post it in breaking soon as I can.
It might work better of they all vote for Pelosi and then we have real gridlock.
Trey Gowdy is also pro-amnesty.
I’d go after Marsha Blackburn. Female opponent could play the female card against both Obama and Boehner.
Marsha Blackburn

Trey Gowdy is a Lawyer, enough said.
He fears DC more than he fears the voters of his district.
That needs to change.
I will be looking very closely at how conservatives vote on leadership votes.
The fake conservatives will be flushed out if the vote for Bonehead.
Anyone who is pro amnesty is not pro America.
In my opinion, pro-amnesty is open borders, and open borders is anti-sovereignty of separate nations. Closet one-worlders....Jeb Bush.

This is the Arabic character "nun" the first letter of the word "Nazarene." I post it as my avatar in solidarity with people of all faiths suffering persecution at the hands of Islam. Many of them are members of the oldest of our Christian Communities, dating from the days of the Apostles. They endure cruel, merciless and unrelenting persecution. They are Orthodox and Catholic, Protestant and Evangelical, Coptic, Pentecostal, and Baptist. To the persecutors they, and we, are all "Nazarenes." |
That's why Denny Hastert was a pretty good Speaker as it was, being a former high school wrestling coach.
Speakers need to dance on the head of a pin to keep all or almost all GOPs together and that's a thankless task.
You really need someone who is on your team but with enough humility not to get in the way of the egomaniacs in the House, someone who's ego is healthy enough not to be overshadowed by the "stars" everywhere but also firm enough to stick up for the non-establishment members.
all Gowdy did was hold hearings. He didn’t bring attention to the findings. He hasn’t sought to punish the IRS or those involved.
Basically he hasn’t shown ruthless Conservative leadership qualities so don’t see why Hannity and some others are giving him support.
Well, they can make accidents happen or make someone vanish, so he has a real threat going against the flow.
Has to happen before change comes.
Good luck on that Sean.
