Vladimir Putin lays out a menacing choice for the West

Anyone wondering what Western leaders have been up against when they try to reason with Vladimir Putin need only read the transcript of the Russian ruler’s three-hour performance at the annual Valdai conference in Sochi on Friday. Mr. Putin was politely questioned by an assortment of Moscow-approved foreign journalists, scholars and former policymakers about Russia’s aggression in Ukraine—and out poured a poisonous mix of lies, conspiracy theories, thinly veiled threats of further aggression and, above all, seething resentment toward the United States.

“Having declared itself the winner of the Cold War,” the United States, with the help of “its satellites,” according to Mr. Putin, promoted a “unipolar world [that] is simply a means of justifying dictatorship over people and countries.” According to Mr. Putin, Washington has created chaos across the world by conspiring to foment revolutions, including what he views as an armed “coup d’état” in Ukraine. Even worse, it believes “there is no need to take into account Russia’s views.”

Mr. Putin portrayed the invasion of Crimea as the corrective to this “imperialism.” “The bear will not even bother to ask permission,” he boasted. …

LOL. I wonder how do you distinguish between types of leftism, expert.

What makes Leninism for you?

IMO, Obammunism which is a closest thing to Trotskism in presence is also closer to traditional Bolshevism than any policy pursued by Russian government in 15 years.

I simply can’t take some statements by rather popular American politicians like it is a kind of hallucinogenic delirium or I have fallen down the hole into a parallel universe.

They sound as if it is 1920 Soviet Union and Atlas Shrugged combined.

Yet, foreign leaders who neither speak nor act leftist are called Leninists by a servile subjects of said American leftist politicians.

Do you really think we would go “all out” for Poland?

I think our response would be “half assed” at best. I simply think Obama thinks driving the price of oil down is going to be enough to wreck Putin. But Putin could pull the plug on German gas pretty quickly. That would split NATO in half.

Obama isn’t really good at this.

Inasmuch as the Cold War was between the USA & the USSR and the FACT that the USSR no longer exists; The USA won the Cold War QED.

Putin’s a big USSR revanchist. His new version is currently known as the Eurasian Union.

Yes, I do think that NATO would consider an attack on Poland as all out war, and that Russia knows that.

Russia will not be attacking Poland. For one thing, Russia doesn’t have the power to be imposing itself at will.

LOL, A Russian soldier posting on freerepublic about American “neocons” and Dick Cheney and republicans, as his army invades Ukraine and threatens us in NATO.

You are the ultimate troll.

Like, dislike?

I was merely pointing how little finesse your propaganda efforts have, an active duty Russian soldier who signed up here to promote the Russian invasion of Ukraine, posting very precise attacks on American politicians who are strong on national defense and even using the phrase neo-cons against the Bush administration and republicans.

Russian and American sheeple both work for the same international bankers.

That’s why the Tsar was deposed - the financial elites wanted to take over Russia, and they did.

Where did Henry Ford’s Model A plant go when he was done with it ? It was sold to the USSR, packed up and shipped there in the early 1930’s.

The wealthy elites love communist slave states - they invented communism for exactly the purpose of creating slave states where people would accept communism.

For the US, UK and Europe, they allow the sheeple some bit of economic freedom and keep the sheeple enslaved through taxes and consumer overspending and debt and the sheeple’s own ignorance. In return, the elites have those countries and their colonies/possessions in which to set up their own corporations as legal entities - and they get to make full use of those governments and their espionage and military facilities.

~I was merely pointing how little finesse your propaganda efforts have~

Maybe I’m not a propagandist after all?

~posting very precise attacks on American politicians who are strong on national defense and even using the phrase neo-cons against the Bush administration and republicans.~

Bush himself wasn’t a neo-con. And comparing to an Obama administration they at least had dignity.

There is no question about you being a cheap propagandist, you are.

As far as Bush, nice poster of his Vice President and Secretary of Defense.

Putin’s own soldier posting for months at freerepublic, it is a strange situation.
