It really is quite sad. I doubt many Americans realize that ancient Babylon is in Iraq.

Let us “thank” Obola and McCain who made ISIS
what it is. Terrorists, rapists and slavers.

Members of the so-called moderate opposition are also engaged in this looting of antiquity.

I’ll take the ancient Babylonian Fertility Figure for a thousand, Alec.
What is now offered for sale by ISIS?
Correct.

Reminiscent of the Taliban destroying the Buddhas of Bamiyan before 9/11. Who would destroy such artifacts? Ones with no conscience.

They take pride in nothing. Their mentality is completely petrified. They don't think of all this as the accomplishments of humanity. This describes the mentality of moslems very well.

I guess this means that the troglodyte subhuman isis idiots are advancing their culture. At least they are selling the artifacts rather than merely grinding them to dust.

Only the stuff in the Baghdad museum.
ISIS is now looting and destroying things in the territory it holds - many archeology sites around Mosul (ISIS controlled) are now or shortly will be no more.

My wife and I spent some time in the British Museum last month and I am really glad the British plundered the world in the 1800’s. At least the artifacts have been preserved for history’s sake.

Thanks PIF. If GWB were President, my a-hole relatives would be blaming this on him. Since their Kenyan-born muzzie golden child is practicing his put in the Oval Office, not a peep.

Destroying ancient artifacts isn't as bad as the wanton killing by ISIS.
IMO, however, it's one of the greatest crimes that a man may commit upon humanity.
