No way is the NYT trying to criticize obamacare. This is just setting the stage to ask for an expansion of obamacare.

The problem is, morons by definition don’t learn.
ObamaCare is essentially the middle class, who can’t afford health insurance now, being forced to subsidize Medicaid and free healthcare for others. If they don’t, they will be fined accordingly by the fascist federal government.
These people are only trying to force someone else to pay for their care. Never do they address why that care cost so much. And it cost so much primarily because of government regulation and lawyers.

I ran the Obamacare numbers for us too. You are right. With the premiums and deductibles it would be just over a third of our annual income before they kicked in a dime. How is that affordable?

You said he pays $350 a month. Unless he’s rather young, that seems exceptionally low for an ObamaCare exchange policy. You also said his income was 25k a year, which would mean he would qualify for subsidies.

You sure about that? Unless I'm mistaken, nobody will really know until they file their 2014 income taxes........Am I wrong?
An average plan is $559.71 a month, after subsidy would be 290.94 excluding extras (some plans offer a little more, regional differences in costs, etc.)
