CHICKASHA, Okla. – Lunch meat, a couple of crackers, a slice of cheese and two pieces of cauliflower qualified as lunch in Chickasha Public Schools Monday.

Chickasha lunchStudent Kaytlin Shelton took a photo of the skimpy lunch and showed it to her parents.

“It makes me want to take that and take it to the Superintendent and tell him to eat it for lunch,” the girl tells Fox 25.

“I can go pay a dollar for a Lunchable and get more food in it,” her father, Vince Holton, says.

The new lunch complies with lunch regulations championed by First Lady Michelle Obama and implemented by the USDA.

Of course all public schools are vermin infested hellholes though right?

Well, maybe not all, yet. But the NEA and teachers unions are reaching out their tentacles to infest every school curriculum with 'common core'. Which is actually designed by leftist 'academics' to turn out mind numbed anti-capitalist Comrades to destroy us.

I live in SoCal and I know a few teachers here. They are some of the dumbest people I've ever met.

School vouchers and charter schools I'm all for and we should get them ASAP.

And I’m sure the White House cafeteria is following suit and offering the same delicious meals to our politicians.

“Sorry my opinion outrages you so much. Well, not really, I actually don’t really care.”

That is quite a humorous statement.

I think it is salad dressing for dipping the cauliflower. It looks like ranch dressing.

Well, I do, in fact, like to eat eels. Especially the Japanese version, "unagi."

Maybe with a nice crisp fried rutabaga slices on the side. A Mitey Good sauce makes all the difference, of course, Miteybad.

Here is a link to an article that has a picture of a public school lunch and a picture of Sidwell school lunch for comparison.

While I would agree that the primary source of calories in this lunch would be from fat, I have my doubts that the cauliflower shown in the picture is cooked. Looks like raw cauliflower from where I'm standing

Doesn't matter...Most young kids won't touch it either way...

If you served something like this in a prison, you’d have a riot, several law suits and possibly a Human Rights inquiry on your hands.

You like eels and rutabagas, but not cauliflower (making mock "OK" sign with thumb and forefinger.)

We're not talking about a gourmand or epicurean here...rather, we're venturing into some seriously twisted, 11th dimension territory, taste-wise speaking. This ain't normal. Frankly, it's pretty bizarre. I would expect this type of palate from someone who had sustained massive cranial trauma. You may need to seek professional help for this affliction. If you can find anybody who may be able to help, that is.

From further down in the article:

Shelton is pregnant and eating for two, complicating the problem.

Ain't that the troof. Where once "students" were shipped off to stay with their "aunt" for 6 or 8 months, now the "delicate condition" gets announced to the world in news articles.

I bet it costs at least $3 (or more too). Well, for the Sucker Class who pays for anything.

“This type of palate” developed over years of world travel….don’t you like to try new things? Or Japanese restaurants? If I could get to the 11th dimension, I’d happily try every restaurant on the block. Or on the pod. Or whatever.

I do draw the line at Nigerian Fruit Bat casserole, and you should too.

World traveler, eh? That's what you're going with? ;-)

To be honest, using the angle of mental aberration caused by massive head trauma is a lot more plausible. Give it some thought.

And remember to eat your cauliflower. You don't get one bite of Mexican fruit bat salad until you finish your veggies. ;-)

So pleased that you have my welfare at heart:)

Staring at a huge eggplant in the fridge that needs cooking…what was I thinking?

But I do have an easy recipe— just cut in wedges, drizzle on olive oil, sprinkle with garlic and Italian seasoning, stick in pan, bake and it amazingly becomes delish. Surely MOOCHelle and anyone who claims to have spent more than 54 seconds in a kitchen knows that garlic makes everything DELISH.

Even cauliflower. Maybe.
