Its the processed foods that are killing people. I grok what you are saying, but I would like to know what is "processed" food. I mean that if I crush a tomato, it is technically "processed". If this is done in a vat with 200 tomatoes by a machine, it is also "processed". Help me out here.

I don’t drink soda with meals; but I eat my salad, veggies and meat first, then leave any carbs like bread or potatoes till last after I’m full.
Of course, if I go out to a restaurant that serves fresh baked bread the first thing, that method goes out the window.

The “science” was settled on fat too...
The only problem was it wasn’t science to begin with...

Since my doctor told me to go gluten free and concentrate on meat and veggies, the good to bad cholesterol ratio has moved into the good range and I have lost 10 pounds.
I exercise (weights) three to five days a week. My strength and stamina has improved.

Cutting out a bunch of starches and processed foods combined with exercise.
Never a bad recipe. :-)

I do the opposite.
No carbs in AM. Carbs only after a workout later in the day.
Have you heard of John Kiefer “Carb Night” or “Carb Backloading”? Somewhat similar to Martin Birkhan “Leangains”.

“Rib eye steaks - if you grill it just right the entire thing is consumed. Even the fat is super delicious.’
Medium rare, charred on the out side, crisp on the fat, which my grandfather reffered to as the “sweet meat”
“Bacon”
The perfect food, I eat bacon most mornings, I occasionally have sausage or country ham, and we season or vegetables with Bacon or Bacon drippings. Bacon for breakfast, BLT for dinner and a rib eye for supper.
