The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has gone dark in Kentucky, where the party is targeting Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
After a significant investment in support of Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes, the DSCC had not reserved time for the final three weeks of the race and, as of today, is no longer on the air.
The DSCC has now spent more than 2 million in Kentucky and continues to make targeted investments in the ground game while monitoring the race for future investments, but is currently not on the air in the state, a DSCC official told CQ Roll Call.
McConnell has held small but consistent leads in nearly every recent public poll.
As it seeks to keep Republicans from picking up six seats and the Senate majority, the DSCCs independent expenditure unit may see a better opportunity in Georgia, where it just purchased significant advertising time.

If someone has to explain the fraudulent ACU ratings game, why bother.
If being in the minority is likely, it wouldn’t surprise me if you are right—it strikes me as a good strategic decision.
As a longtime Person involved in Georgia politics I am becoming very worried. The GOP is taking the state too much for granted and are running a terrible campaign in South Georgia and I hear more and more older white voters talking about voting for Nunn. They remember her father and she has Zell Miller’s endorsement which goes a long way with them.
The Perdue campaign is doing almost nothing on the ground, no personal politicking and it is showing.
I hope someone wakes up soon!
I have been wondering what had happened to Honey Boo
Boo....
Hey, maybe McConnell will endorse Grimes before its over, he’s liberal enough...
heh
Read their posting history. This isn't their first dance.
Worse than that, Grimes is clearly anti coal and is having trouble hiding it. Mitch has always worked for Kentucky coal and it seems will be remembered for it. One good negative is usually enough to kill off a dirtbag. Grimes puts on a good show, especially when getting mugged by BClinton, but she just can’t hide the liberal whiner streak she seems to be afflicted with.
Next is kansas
She self destructed on national TV...couldn’t bring herself to admitting to voting for the moron of Pennsylvania Ave. !!!!!!
If they think the ACU Rating is a reliable indicator of conservatism, then it does not matter how many dances they’ve had. They haven’t learned anything.
Kind of like the guy that tells me they got 30 years experience to which I ask “30 years experience doing what? 30 years repeating what you did in year 1?”
they are getting free air time on msnbc, cnbc, and cnn.
why pay for it?
LOL!!!
I do wonder what their first FR nick was. ;-)
James O'keefe hit a home run and won this race for Mitch.
Ummm yeah, that was kind of my extended point by asking what must the honest polling show. I think we’re on the same page at this point sunmars.
Harry gives his buddy Mitch a break, but I suspect the Dems are on the ropes as if I care.
The GOPe is ginning up emotions right now to create a bandwagon effect with my vote (”we’re winning”) and at the same time trying to scare me into giving them based on hatred of Democrats and fear of them winning (”Defeat Pelosi and Reid, Stop Obama”)....
Politics is indeed as Reagan once described it, like “seeing the world with its pants down.”
The GOPe stands to win in the present circumstances, but won’t change anything for the good in this country, we are still on the pathway to disaster.
Time for Cook, Rothenberg and Sabato to move out of the tossup catagory.
Well, color me suprised, only cook has it a toss up.
Laz would hit her....even after I debased her.
Maybe she didn’t vote for BO and knew she couldn’t admit that either.
They would prefer someone like Susan Collins or Lindsey Graham as leader.
Apparently the ACU ratings are totally unreliable, yet show Susan Collins in the 20s - pretty far to the left. I guess they would argue she’s actually a staunch conservative since those ratings are “unreliable.” Granted, the method isn’t flawless, and there’s more to look at than just the numbers, but overall you can get a read on who is reliable and who is not.
