Your To Do List to Save America

The most important words printed in The New York Times since "REAGAN EASILY BEATS CARTER" were from a front-page article last Sunday about how, after six years of Obama, the federal judiciary is now dominated by Democratic appointees. Edward Whelan, head of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, responded to this by saying: "The best way for conservative voters to prevent further damage to the courts is to swing the Senate to Republican control in the elections this November."

He's absolutely right. Turn that into a mnemonic, sew it on needlepoint pillows, include it in your wedding vows, right-wingers. For the next six weeks, nothing matters more to the country than Republicans taking a majority in the Senate. When it comes to politics, conservatives need to learn one thing from liberals: All that matters is winning.

Here's a preliminary report on where the election stands and my assignments.

First, we need to hold all 45 seats currently in Republican hands. The ones Democrats have been salivating over because of primary challenges aren't looking like cakewalks for them anymore.

There is ONLY one way to save America and that is to abide by the Constitution as originally written and that means the federal government has very little power other than to provide protection of our country and little else.

Every law that has been enacted that the Constitution had no power to do should be repealed immediately.

It’s actually too late to save America with mere politics. There are two ways to save America. And only these to ways. One way is to destroy the miseducation system and eliminate leftists in that field. We need to remake it as an American institution. The other way is revolution and bloodshed. But unless we remake education and eliminate liberal influence in that field, we won’t have enough of an educated voter base for mere politics to ever make any headway.

Interesting point. But people need to stop using public schools if at all possible. Let them take classes online if they can’t afford private schools or can’t homeschool.

The solution is to “Vote Republican”????

Right, given what Boehner threatened to do to Conservatives, I think the GOP can pound sand.

No more money and no more votes from me, mine and those nearby.

For those who demand we hold our noses and vote for the less bad candidate, I ask this: Who thinks voting for the GOP wing of the Uniparty will lead to restoration of our freedoms? GOP elders can't even take a stand against Obamcare

Don't forget our pubbie House has set the continuing spending resolution to expire in December so that lame duckies can vote for amnesty. The post-congressional big $ careers of the likes of Boehner and ex-congressman Cantor trump the very security of our once republic.

‘F em all.

#1) Constitutional amendment to structure the States with 1 state senator elected from the residence of a county to represent the interests of that county. Then have the same number as state representatives elected by districts allocated by population. Governor to serve as President of the legislature in unicameral sessions and is granted 1 vote.

#2) Repeal the 17th Amendment. Have US Senetor’s who represent the State elected by simple majority vote of unicameral session of the state legislature (see #1).
Removal of a sitting senator by the state legislator requires a majority vote of both houses to call a special session only for the purpose of removal. Once called, the unicameral session shall hold one and only one vote and require 2/3rds for passage of the removal resolution. Once a sitting senator has been removed, the governor appoints the replacement to be sworn in as quickly as possible.

#3) Adopt the district system for the electoral college. The candidate who recieves a simple majority (50% + 1 vote or more) of votes within a congressional district receives that district’s electoral vote. If there is no simple majority, a run off election is held with only the two candidates who received the most votes. Winner of the run off receives the electoral vote.

The candidate who receives the most votes in the state receives one of the state’s electoral votes. The candidate who won the most number of districts receives the other state electoral vote. If the number of districts is tied, the Governor awards the state’s vote to one of the candidates who won at least one district in the state.

#4) Change the tax system to representative apportionment. Repeal the 17th amendment. Congress decides how much to raise via taxes. That amount is then divided into a Senate portion and a House portion. Each is divided by the respective number of members to identify the tax bill per Senator and Representative. Each state then determines their tax bill by multiplying the number of Senators and multiplying the number of representatives. The sum total is the annual tax bill that is due in quarterly increments paid to the US Treasury by the state. States are then free to raise the taxes to pay the bill using what ever means that they see fit.

Should a state for any reason fail to make their quarterly payments, that state’s legislature and Governor shall have their pay accumulated and held in escrow until such time as the state has paid it’s tax bill in full.

Should a state fall more than 2 quarters behind in paying their tax bill, no US senator or US representative of that state will be allowed to vote in any committee until such time as the state has paid it’s tax bill in full.

Should a state fall more than 3 quarters behind, all votes of the state’s Senator and Representative shall be “present” until such time as the state has paid it’s tax bill in full.

These four changes will move the US to a far more conservative foundation.

The other way is revolution and bloodshed.

It may come to that, but lets first press for a peaceful convention of the states to propose structural amendments to the constitution. When history looks backs on early 21st century America, I hope it finds a core of patriots who recognized what needed to be done and gave it their best effort.

Elect Tea Party Republicans! Image a Senate filled with Ted Cruz types! If none are their—You Run! and not in the National elections alone—States, cities, school boards! All across the land. Drive out of business the Liberal-Commie Nespapers and TV Channels— Support CONSERVATIVE MEDIA> Support Conservative Colleges only—if we must—create them along with Private Conservative Religious Schools—High Schools —where they teach and not indoctrinate. We need Conservative TV networks or cable shows! We can do this! We must pull the nation to the right.

When we're all dying from lack of health care across the United States of Mexico, we'll be deeply impressed with your integrity, libertarians.

Oh please. It's not about integrity. It's about survival of our nation.

And it's about strategy. If you think Mitch McConnell and John Boehner are going to repeal Obamacare, you are dreaming.

The most urgent thing is to get the RINOs out of the Republican Party, at least out of the leadership. Without that, there is no hope for anything but the total collapse of our nation.

Ann Coulter, whom I used to respect, has a lot of nerve lecturing us after sucking up to all the RINOs in the last election cycle.

The only (admittedly slim) hope we have of saving our nation is to destroy the GOPs. Karl ROve whining about not having any money is a GOOD first step.

No more voting for RINOs ever, under any circumstances. Period.

In the past I voted for McCain, and Romney nationally, and for Scott Brown in Massachusetts. But I guess it depends on your belief in how far gone this nation is, and what it will take to restore it, assuming that is even possible at this point.

Personally, I now believe that the only way to save America at this point (assuming such a thing is still possible) is to put conservatives in political offices and enact an agenda based on free markets, limited government and the rule of law. As long as we have a Republican party that actively opposes those ends (and we do, obviously), then I believe our only (slim) hope is drastic action.

As long as the Republican Party establishment believes that it can continue to survive by being Democrat-lite, and that it can continue to maintain power while actively fighting against the core principles of liberty, free markets and Constitutional law, it will never make the necessary change of direction.

Only when the Republican party understands that it must change or die can we hope to turn this country around. Our too-long-serving entrenched establishment politicians can still enjoy their comfy lifestyles, their wealth, power and prestige as members of a minority party. So why should they bother to change direction?

Surely a John Boehner (or an Eric Cantor -- had he not been defeated -- or a Mitch McConnell) would be just as happy to be minority leaders if the election cycle didn't go their way. Yes, they would prefer to be majority leaders, but what good would it do them if a conservative Republican Party won the majority and then threw them out of their cushy positions and all those perks, replacing them with real conservatives?

Ask yourself -- which do you think Mitch McConnell would prefer -- a majority Republican party in which he was stripped of his position by a conservative majority, or a minority Republican party in which he could remain Senate minority leader because the majority of Republican senators were RINOs?

You may argue that we have no time to wait for the Republicans to realize that their only choice is to change or die as a viable party. But if we don't have time for that, then what makes you think we have time to wait for the RINOs and the GOP-e to pursue a "moderately marginal" course of action designed only to maintain their personal fiefdoms at the expense of a free America operating under the rule of Constitutional law?

The GOP had majority power in the House and Senate, and occupied the White House, 10 years ago. What did all that power do to move the agenda of liberty forward? Answer: nothing.

A GOP that cannot even sell liberty, limited governments and free markets to the American people is worse than useless. It is a party of tyranny enablers, and I will have none of it.

Unbelievably, today we once again face the stark choice between liberty and death.

Once again, these are the times that try men's souls. Conservatives need to be waging aggressive war against the totalitarian leftist tyrants on all fronts -- in the branches of government at the federal and state level, in academia, in the media, through public demonstrations, and in the voting booth.

Many argue that we must continue to vote for "the most electable conservative," which means "vote for the RINO if no conservative is running." But I respectfully disagree with that choice. I am done enabling.

If we really are to lose the greatest country in the history of the world, then let's at least be fighting for it when it goes down.

And who knows, maybe -- just maybe, if we show sufficient resolve and conviction -- divine Providence will once again provide the support that gave our founders their unlikely victory in 1776, and grant us once again the "new birth of freedom" that Lincoln called for a century later.

If you reward bad behavior, you get more of it. The RINOs have managed to own the Republican party because they know that conservatives have nowhere else to go.

To continue voting for RINOs is to play right into that strategy. The RINOs have become so certain of your vote that they actually believe they can continue to stay in power by declaring outright war on the conservative base.

And when they do that, they are actually declaring war on core American principles -- war on liberty, war on free market economics, and even war on the Constitution.

The RINO Republicans cannot even make an appeal to the traditional American love of those principles, because they have lost the credibility and historical awareness to articulate them, let alone promote them.

Yes, having Harry Reid continue as speaker is a horrific scenario. But having RINO Republicans win that office is only a marginally better short-term outcome.

And in some ways it is even worse, because as the RINOs “reach across the aisle" to promote marginally modified Democrat policies, they give the Democrats cover from the well-deserved blame that they have unleashed on our country for the last five years.

America is out of time now. We cannot continue on the current path. And as things continue to deteriorate, who do you think the voters will blame if the Republicans are in power when the 2016 elections come around?

You think Mitch McConnell's senate will repeal Obamacare? You think it will take the right position on immigration? You think a Republican Senate will vote against Obama’s left wing Supreme Court nominations?

America needs clear, passionate and articulate voices to advocate and defend our founding principles, to secure our borders, to preserve our nation, and to take legislative and administrative steps to turn this country around, assuming it still can be turned around.

Majority leader Mitch McConnell will NEVER provide that voice or leadership. He is not the guy to turn things around for our formerly blessed nation.

But in 2016 a newly terrified Republican party will be forced to court instead of alienate the conservative base, and come 2017 will be in a position to put the party and our nation on the proper path. Such a duly chastised party has a real chance of nominating a Ted Cruz, instead of a Mitt Romney who, according to last night's panel on Fox News, is at this point the likely Republican presidential nominee.

So in November, for those whose only choice in the mid-terms is between a RINO and a Democrat, I urge them to stay home on election day, or vote third-party -- anything to prove the RINOs wrong in thinking that they can stay in power by literally declaring war on conservatism.

Think about it.
