Scott Walker: Gay Marriage Accepted by Young Conservatives [Mar 2013]

Same-sex marriage is accepted by younger conservatives and won’t likely be an issue in upcoming political races, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said.

Appearing Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press," Walker was asked whether younger conservatives are “more apt to see marriage equality as something that is … what they believe, that is basic rather than as a disqualifying issue?”

“I think there’s no doubt about that,” Walker said. “But I think that’s all the more reason, when I talk about things, I talk about the economic and fiscal crises in our state and in our country, that’s what people want to resonate about. They don’t want to get focused on those issues.”

The discussion stemmed from Republican Sen. Rob Portman’s announcement last week that he has changed his position on same-sex marriage because he wants his son, who is gay, to have the same “joy and stability of marriage” that he has had and that he wishes for his other two children.

Noted Walker: “I’ve had young people ask me …why the government is sanctioning it in the first place?” He suggested it be left up to “the churches and the synagouges and others to define that.”

Republican Ana Navarro noted that “as the youngest person on this panel, I think it’s generational.” It is an issue of tolerance, she said. “I want people who are pro-traditional marriage to tolerate my views and don’t think that makes me less moral or less of a Republican. And I need to tolerate the views of those who think marriage is just a man and a woman and

Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance
...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.

Different Christians are in different places in their walk with Christ. Some might not even recognize the sin in some things soon after becoming a believer... and yet be destined for heaven. Give God the credit for knowing how to conduct an education as well as a fight, and don’t presume to know where a servant has to be at a certain moment in order to actually BE a servant.

Whatever this means, it sure is unacceptable if it means expecting traditionalists to just shut up.

Team Romney has imposed by Romney
1) Gay marriage
2) Polygamy (like Romney’s own family)
3) RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE,
and bestiality is coming.

How in the world do these insane phoneys
claim to be “conservative”.

There's a confusion among young conservatives and others between permission and support. The doing away with laws that outlaw sodomy is permission of private, consenting adult sodomy. But state-sponsored "gay marriage" is support and sanctioning of sodomy.

Many, not just young conservatives, fail to make this critical and important distinction. If they distinguished the two, I would think they would support doing away with laws outlawing private sodomy between two adults but would not support gay marriage.

Uh, if they’re accepting homosexual marriage they’re not conservatives

It's an attempt by pseudo-conservatives to redefine Conservatism, so as to dilute it and make it less of a threat to the Left.

Unfortunately, Republican Sen. Rob Portman is a victim of fuzzy thinking. Same sex marriage is NOT a civil rights issue in the same way that interracial marriage was a civil rights issue between a man and a woman. Men and women have equal rights. Men and women are NOT interchangeable.

You cannot avoid compromising the health and safety of all people because you want your son to be happy. People with disordered minds covet what they can NEVER have. Men living with men are friends. Women living with women are friends.

The generation that believes that men and women are interchangeable are either the Last generation or the Lost generation. Foolish and self deceiving opinions will lose out to reality and natural law. Foolish and self deceiving opinions will result in chaos.

Praise God, though, that it does seem we are slowly turning the tide on life.....

You don’t think that “It’s for the Children” meant something beyond “We are coming for your Children”, do you?

So we get to the real problem. NATIONAL BASED EDUCATION aka/liberal indoctrination. If that can’t be stopped cold and the power to educate returned to local control, there is no battle to fight. The war is over except for the burying and crying.

The difference between the pro-family and the pro-life movement is that the later has succeeded in framing its arguments in secular terminology the unchurched youth can understand. The pro-family movement has been framed as a anti-gay, Bible based movement, and most post-Christian or pseudo-Christian Americans cannot relate to that.

Well, the Bible refers to queerdom as an abomination unto the Lord, but just like baby-killing, it can become an abomination to society, namely public health. I think they can relate to that.

Every aspect of the faggotic deathstyle needs to be exposed with a "did you know that they..." statement, laying out in appropriate language, the honest truth about what the packers do "behind closed doors".

If they want to have mainstream and acceptance and wish to "out" themselves...give them a helping hand. Out their filthy perverted practices.

Get the seeds planted among the young, including the roving STD bomb each rump-ranger is; naming the more dangerous contagions such as hepatitis, explaining how they prefer engaging in unprotected sex, how they consider "having the bug" (AIDS) to be a status symbol, and describing their coprophagic practices.

Absolutely throw down the statistical life expectancy of the average American sodomite, and ask why they are being allowed to harvest our young boys and sentence them to the same early death.

If there isn't already, there should be a pamphlet on this topic outlining in detail all of the above, maybe with illustrations. All the information is out there.

Yeah, it would be disgusting and pornographic, but how else can you address their squalid activity.

I'll bet having received the factual reality...any young person would think twice before letting an obvious flamer serve them their food.

Actually it depends on what you think marriage is?

it depends on what you think marriage is

It's a tenet of all religions that has been the same for centuries.

This includes the government how?

Rob Portman thinks his son can have the same stablity that a heterosexual marriage can provide? Talk about delusional.

Why are you posting something from March 2013?

Because it should give you a glimpse of how Scott Walker thinks, and he wants to be POTUS.
