The contempt here is just because waffle house is the epitome of po ass white southern good ol boys.
All food is chemicals. There is nothing wrong with mixing those chemicals up into a form that is tasty and satisfying.
The main thing to remember with nutrition is balance. There are no magic "good" foods or evil "bad" foods, there are just foods that should be eaten in moderation and those that can be consumed more freely.

I think there scramble eggs are awesome. I wish I can emulate the taste in my kitchen. The wafles are 3.5 out of 5. The sausage gravy is 1.5 out 5. I like my hashbrowns well done; rarely do they do it right, except the place down the street will let me call in 10 minutes ahead of time and they start them. Big tip for that.
I get scrambled eggs, blueberry wafles, hashbrowns and chocolate milk. My favorite breakfast.
Their pork products suck. I thought it will be better since we are in south.
I don’t think I ever ate a sandwich there after the first time 6 years ago. Disappointed.
I agree with you view, but man, those scrambled eggs are just my favorite.
The best hash browns have to be done with a real potato in your hand. Latkes are the best example.

All I know is whenever I spend a weekend hiking through the woods my first stop is at Waffle House. Love a good big breakfast and lots of coffee.
