President Barack Obama is struggling to overcome widespread pessimism about the economy and deep frustration with Washington, notching the lowest job-approval ratings of his presidency in a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll.
The results suggest Mr. Obama could weigh on fellow Democrats in midterm elections this fall, particularly in the conservative states that will play a large role in deciding whether his party retains its Senate majority.
Mr. Obama's job approval ticked down to 41% in March from 43% in January, marking a new low. Some 54% disapproved of the job he is doing, matching a previous high from December, when the botched rollout of his signature health law played prominently in the news. The latest survey also showed the lowest-ever approval in Journal/NBC polling for Mr. Obama's handling of foreign policy.

The congressional results in the Jolly race are encouraging.
ox had him at 39, and yet still Dems are crowing “Obamacare is getting more popular!”. Yeah, tell that to Alex Sunk.
41%???
Who the hell are they polling? Everyone I talk to looks at this Prez as a clown.
CIC.....Clown in Chief.
Impeach the Muslim imposter and get this country back into heal mode
The MSM Is still spotting him 30 points I see
I agree. These numbers plus the Jolly/Sink results confirm each other.
I just heard he’d signed an executive order forcing business to give salaried employees overtime pay, because the salaried work many hours.
First, no one told them to accept a salaried job, but the benefit USED TO BE that they had a guaranteed weekly salary. You can bet that this XO will have their contract voided and they’ll become hourly, and that will mean less than 30 hours weekly.
Second, When they end up losing pay, guaranteed salary, and benefits, they’ll know that Obama caused it.
I totally agree...it is sad....there are far better people out there to be the first black POTUS. The one thing he and his managers are good at is manipulating perception.
My feelings exactly.
I wonder if they weight their approval polls in the exact same way they do their election polls?
Is this actually a law now? What if an employer “disobeys”.
Most people I know prefer to be salaried because of the guarantee of paycheck and benefits. He has just caused a whole bunch of unintended consequences ...AGAIN!
NBC, in all its incarnations, is the dictator’s Ministry of Propaganda. For this to come from them means something.
If he's losing blacks and hispanics, November could be a blowout! They may not even bother to vote if they're still turned off by the magic negro.
The media showed the massive crowd and reported it as if it was all about him.
It was then that I said I felt this scam was going to set the chances of future black candidates way back. I think I am wrong, though. I think the black and independent voters who are realizing they got fooled are taking a hard look and giving a serious listen to people like Tim Scott, Allen West and Mia Love.
Great quote! 0dumb0 is evil incarnate!
Is the public finally realizing that they made a colossal mistake in 2008 and 2012?
It’s an executive order, and I think to the Department of Labor which establishes the regulations under which businesses must operate. The answer to your question would lie with the exact wording of any law on wages that the DOL is enforcing. If there is nothing at all in it about salaried help, then Obama hasn’t just manipulated the interpretation of the law, he has created law. A lawless president.
I think we are back in recessionary territory (not that we ever left). Wait till fall to see Obama’s poll numbers then.
