Jim, IMHO, it started with 2 paychecks (husband and wife) allowed to borrow on a loan.
Then, we were lied to about our own oil deposits and started buying oil from the Middle East. Which gave them more power.
Then, we shipped manufacturing overseas by way of NAFTA.
Now, we have both parents working, if they are still together, our children being raised by the nanny state, and few jobs other than sales and paper pushing (or computer info pushing).
Our children no longer can be proud of a trade that they enjoy, or a country that they can have faith in.
Still don’t understand why anyone would want to be a tool of the devil and why so many would take that route — to hell.
There’s probably an underground movement of grandparents like us.

Yesterday an American president-—the filth-ridden #@!#$!-—stood on his inauguration platform and called for sodomite marriage, using God in the same sentence. It reminded me of an old movie, “The Bible”, where Nimrod stood on top of the tower of Babel and shot an arrow at God in heaven. He got zapped pretty quickly.
This country better wake up, and fast. And the GOP needs to find some guts and take a stand.

Much of it is obvious, in-your-face crappola, but there is an insidious message conveyed underneath, besides the news networks. This is an art that the Left has been honing for decades; they are experts at subliminal suggestion. And, no, saying that is not being a tin-foil-hat loony.
The Left owns the networks and all the power it conveys. They know what to do with it.

Our Blessed Mother warned us that "Things would become clearer about 1960". They did, and only a man blind in all five senses could fail to see the terrible progression from then to today. Turns out that Lucifer's tools (the people and organizations depicted in the film) would infiltrate and compromise every last worthwhile tradition and institution in the western world, including many heretofore laudable Christian denominations and the Catholic Church itself. As the Church can not actually fail, but its manifestation can be deeply flawed in those quarters influenced most by modernism and progressivism, it is incumbent on each Catholic to seek out the traditional liturgy and doctrine which shall remain unchanged forever, while rejecting the nascent inventions of Vatican II.
Apparently this was released in 2010. Didn’t know about it. Will get the DVD or two.

I, for one, will not pooh pooh your contention. Media IS the main problem we face. School indoctrination is the SECOND biggest problem we face. This is not new. But how do we either 1) get control of media and it’s messaging? or 2) limit the damage it does? What I’ve determined is, we can’t. I have been without commercials in my home since 1998. Neither of my two kids has ever seen an ad for Audi cars nor for sponge bob action figures. Yet the majority of our population can’t seem to live without the scourge that is media, and most of their kids are inundated with commercialized propaganda getting them prepared, daily, to totally buy into the rest of the really big lies. And since this is the main source of ‘information’ they refer to as ‘news’, the conservative view is never heard from, unless it’s being mocked. After 40 years of this, we are simply out numbered. I cannot help but to think that if *most* people within the red counties on the electoral map were to systematically disconnect their cable and totally shut out the Media TOMORROW, there *might* finally be some measurable blow back and we’d start to see some change in media’s message tailored to conservatives to get us back buying their advertised crap. But sports and reality shows keep the masses tuned in and the cable bill always gets paid. TVs are on in the ‘background’ in most of our homes. Almost no one sees ANY problem with this. We are now at a serious cross roads where the media is facilitating and promoting socialists planning the total destruction of our liberties, and all most care about is the the next bowl game or what happens to the next apprentice. All of that reality leads me to believe there is simply no hope that we will ever regain sanity into our public discourse on a broad enough scale to make any difference. The Media completely owns the message. It’s all but a socialist’s play. And the show MUST go on. I disconnected my front row seat many years ago. I pray daily MANY more will do the same. But I am doubtful God will have much say about it until He reveals His final plans. No, our own fate is in our hands. Please pass the remote and the popcorn, apprentice is on reruns. ‘This war is lost!’

Bingo! Television media would turn conservative almost overnight. But conservatives keep feeding the beast. I almost tear my hair out when "conservatives" ask me, when I tell them that I don't have t.v. at the house, "but what do you DO, then?"
