“Shenyang Aircraft head dies in China’s first carrier landing”

Every day I become more and more appalled at the way news headlines are written.
“Suspected heart attack” must be code for “You have failed the Politburo!”
He was so impressed with them he keeled over and died.
“Chinas government is mourning a key engineer behind its aircraft carrier programme who died of a heart attack after witnessing the first landing of a plane on the ship.”
I’m glad that he had least got to see it land (or so they say). I imagine failure would have been the end of his career and the end of his nice life as he knew it. He probably had a fleeting moment of “Yippie - my life will be okay....”
Guess the pattern was full—shouldn’t have done the fly-by.

“This is the happiest day of my life!” *thud*
Karma!
We're conservatives, we pay our own way.
Times are tough on a lot of us, but if you've got a job, really, $5 a month? You're going to miss that? How about turning off the lights when you leave the room? How about dropping the thermostat a degree while you're not at home? How about skipping that fancy pants coffee twice a month?
All we're asking for is $5 a month. Get out that wallet, input your Debit/Credit card #, set up a monthly and forget about it.
If this ham-n-egger can be a dollar a day guy, you can pony up $0.17 a day. Seventeen cents a day for all the time you spend on FR?
Cerainly, a bargain at twice the price, don't you agree?
You'll feel much better about your time on FR.
Confucius say man who watch flatop landing flatline.
Chinese food is mostly fried, isn’t it? In a wok, but still fried.
This was probably more of a case of “thank heavens it worked/didn’t crash”, and the relief that he *wasn’t* going to be executed for failure was so great the guy’s heart stopped.
