Anyone afraid of putting a Romney sticker on their car? (Vanity)
Me | 06/27/12 | Me

Posted on 06/27/2012 6:09:05 AM PDT by tellw

I live in congressional district in metro DC area that went heavily for Obama in 2008. I just got my first Mitt Romney for President 2012 bumper sticker. I am a die hard Republican and I have put GOP bumper stickers on my car in the past. However this year I am seriously hesitating putting the Romney one on even though I very much want him to win. Reason: I fear physical assault to my person or vehicle. Furthermore I know it is early in the election cycle but I haven't seen any Romney stickers on any cars either. Anyone else having this fear?

How can you tell your neighbor is stupid?

He put an Obama 2012 bumper sticker on his car.

How can you tell your neighbor is really stupid?

He put it on the paint.

"A Romney sticker might influence an obozo supporter to key your car."

Yes, and most of zero's supporters either drive a Prius or a piece of junk. Many of us have nice cars that we would prefer not to have keyed.

And many of Obama's supporters have no values whatsoever. So they would key your car with clear conscience.

Why not wait until after the conventions. I have seen mega, anti BHO bumper stickers but not one pro Romney.
Being from California, BHO (or whoever the dems nominate) already has it.

Re: Lots of Obama 12 stickers here in Indiana.
Sadly a few at our Catholic church.

These are CINO’s not true Catholics.

I live in Atlanta, GA and have only seen one Obama sticker and it was from 2008 so I think the fear thing is working both ways.

Here in New York I told my passenger “look an Obama 2012 sticker it’s always fun to look at his supporters”. As I pulled alongside the driver was wearing a Neapolitan Bonaparte or Admirals type hat with feathers and all. We both burst out laughing just proving my tag line.

Question for the thread: anyone think those old Kerry/Edwards stickers will become collector’s items? They seem to have become quite rare. I used to giggle when I saw one. I guess even liberals have the capacity to become embarrassed at some point.

“There’s a reason they are called ‘BUMPER’ stickers..........”

True, although I don’t even like to see them on bumpers. But whoever put those all over that car had waaay too much time on their hands.

I’m not sure how much bumper stickers mean, but if you see a lot of Obama bumper stickers and no Romney, it might create overconfidence in the Obama people.

I’ve never put a political bumper sticker on my car but if I wanted to, I’d get a removable one and take it off while leaving my car in, say, the Wal-Mart parking lot.

Many dems are not particularly law abiding and might casually key my car on their way to cash in their food stamps.

"Afraid"??
I really don't know anybody who is voting for Romney. Everybody I talk to is voting against the Kenyan communist race-hustler Ubama, and that sentiment alone may not be enough for Romney to carry the day. Romney's VP choice may be the only thing that excites enough people to put him over the top. If he truly wants to win, he better make it good.

I’m kinda with you.

Why drive around declaring your whole philosophy on your car?

On the other hand, I’m feeling a strong urge to put a Romney 2012 bumper sticker on something as it would obviously annoy a lot of people on both sides which would be fun.

Liberals around here are typically big mouths who name call & demand to know how everyone plans to vote, while non-liberals usually politely prefer to keep their politics discrete in mixed company.

This is reflected in the bumper sticker situation. I don't think it affects anyone's thinking.

...Scylla and Charybdis...

Ah, between a rock and a hard place, the devil and the deep blue sea. Thanks for enhancing my classical education somewhat.

Just ask how conservative a conservative you are. Hopefully, you'll find it easier to vote then. Neither of our present day Scylla or Charybdis is immortal or irresistible. There really are a couple of other less monstrous voting choices for conservatives.
