I'm sure you know that this argument is frequently used by gay advocates, so I don't know how much stock I should put in this article. What do you think?

Sometimes true, but wrong more often than not.

Some of the obsessiveness about the issue from some of the posters here has made me wonder about them - particularly when they keep going out of their way to list all the homosexual practices that “horrify” them; or the ones consumed by fear that a homosexual will hit on them.
I don’t get where that much energy comes from.

I don’t like to eat dogs. But ALOT of Asians do. Does that make me have a phobia against Asians? I don’t spiders either.

And some homophobia isn’t phobia at all. It’s just a knowledge of right and wrong.

I don’t remember it being an issue my parents had to address.
I think it has become an issue because media and television have made it popular. Not to mention our illustrious academia.

Oh, no, not this sh!t again.
Seriously, the point is who cares if a bunch of blacks or red necks become homosexuals and turn to Islam in San Francisco to rot and die in their misery so they can call themselves liberals? In fact, someone so inclined to hate them would be so happy to say: “I love Islam and I love when losers practice homosexuality and hurt each other that way”.
THe thing is, so long they do not come around and impose their lives or their faces or derranged lifestyles on me, I am fine. But that never happens. It never happens because decadence requires constant subsidy of some sort to keep going. SO these people are always in your face eventualy.

I think they used to call this “latent homosexuality.” Essentially it occurs when a war is being fought between a person’s morals and his inclinations.

I must be a killer.
I tend to refrain from the practice of killing though, so
I must be killphobic.

Just another attempt by the gay fascist crowd to push their moral code on this country just like the very European colonialists they say they hate.
They think they’re going to shove it down our throat, but they’re gonna find out the boot’s gonna stomp them into the ground.

I just want gays to leave me alone.
Does that make me homophobic?
I don’t like the exhibitionist parades, on public streets. I can do without the schools indoctrinationg my kids - ever hear the term ‘love not gender’...your kids probably have, I would really be happy if we hadn’t had a multi-decade battle over gays in the military, to accomodate the few dozen who want to be openly gay in the military.
Must be because I’m secretly gay, though.

Phobias are irrational fears.
Being repulsed by homosexuality is not a phobia.
Homosexuals are the most self loathing people I know, which is why they are desperate to be justified by society.
My brotherIL is a homosexual, nice guy but on the wrong track. He talks openly about his lifestyle, with out details.
He says homosexuals are self loathing, shallow individuals in desperate need of love, which they equate with sex acts.
In his opinion they will suppress these bits of knowledge and fight for social acceptance, so they can feel better about themselves. Which he says why so many desire for their partnership to be called marriage and the drive to adopt, they want to feel normalized. (As a side note he does not believe in homosexual marriage or that homosexuals be allowed to adopt or be foster parents, he will tell you that children need a mother and a father.)
So that is my opinion and the opinion of someone close to me.

Oh just great. Now we gotta worry about homophobia-phobia.
To: EveningStar
What do you think?
I think that the definition of homophobia reinforces opposition, slurs good people, and is so nebulous that I doubt anyone could objectively describe it.

Oh, double horsehockey! "Homophobia" is a catch phrase mixing Latin and Greek that means "fear of man".
I'm not afraid of homosexuals, I'm just repulsed by their "life style" and all of the waste homosexuality entails.
I have a homosexual Brother who thinks of nothing else but homosexuality and his "community". He is impossible to be around and as far as the family tree goes, he could care less, since he is never going to have kids. I worry about him because his "community" experiences 43 times higher STD rates than the normals do but that doesn't slow down the rampant promiscuity. It's a mental disease and it's a cultural wrecking ball until we can finally find a cure.
This claptrap by the good doctor is yet another bogus argument meant to try make all of us with normal inclinations begin to doubt ourselves>
No chance.
