I suspect this incident will cause companies that buy ad space to be a little less influenced by media hype concerning so-called “boycotts” organized by astroturfing left-wing organizations.

Fluke: "EVERYBODY knows I spend a lot of time on my back. And that is why I prefer the comfort of Sleep Train."

In that case, we can assume she prefers a firm mattress.

No, it was Weep Train... crying for Cat Stevens’ Muslim terrorist cohorts all killed blowing up the local train taking women, children pilgrims home from the holy city.

Limbaugh reportedly turned aside the Sacramento retailer's attempt at a truce

Doesn't a truce require both parties to be at war with each other?

Most people don’t understand the real situation. Limbaugh has a very long line of businesses begging to be sponsors of his show.

Looks like all their stores are in California, employee-owned private company. Rush is handling this exactly right, they need the access to customers he provides more than he needs them, radio ad time is highly fungible and he’ll have new advertisers in that slot instantly.

Protests and boycotts are only effective if they affect the target companys bottom line. If, in a year or so, there are fewer Sleep Train stores open than there are today, we’ll be able to judge the results of Rush’s decision.

MY LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE SLEEP TRAIN MATTRESS COMPANY, SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA

Pardon me, boy
Is this the Sacramento Sleep Train?
You're on Track Twenty-Nine?
Hey, it's the end of the line
I'll never board
The Sacramento Sleep Train
Ain't worth the fare
Just to sleep on stuffed hair

You left El Rushbo's station 'cause you got over-sore
Your timing just stinks
You don't matter any more
Dinner in your diner?
No, thanks, you whiner
There are mattresses much finer
And I'd rather take my forty winks
On a La-Z-Boy recliner

CIAO, CAIO, CHOO-CHOO

Leni

WTF??

The rift between Sleep Train Mattress Centers and Rush Limbaugh apparently became permanent today after Limbaugh reportedly turned aside the Sacramento retailer's attempt at a truce.

A truce is when two sides are actively fighting each other, right?

SleepTrain: "Hey, we don't like what you said, we're not going to advertise on your show anymore.
Rush Limbaugh: OK, I'll get someone else to take your spot.

Doesn't sound like a fight to me, so how the reporter claim that ST made an attempt at a 'truce'.

Is sleep train a publicly traded stock? I’d like to see a graph of it plummeting.
