and I have hope (isnt that what Obama was peddling?) that we can call someone else a president next year

Zero's been Pres_ _ent for three years, and I've not yet once referred to him as president. Pres_ _ent Obama, yes; but never president.

It's all a state of mind -- Pres_ _ent Obama's State vs your mind....

You are right. Perry decided to emulate Newt and speak well of his fellow candidates and he has been risingbecause of it. Michele, otoh, sinks everytime she attacks. That’s why I kept posting “Michele and Newt hacking away at each other and they are both bleeding badly.” because even though she was scoring points, she was diminishing herself.

So tired of Ron Paul. When asked who his favorite Supreme Court judge - “I don’t know - they’re all good and bad” Thanks Ron for that clarity.

It seems the only time he would be convinced Iran had nukes is AFTER they actually used it and even then he would probably question if they were really responsible. Probably blame us anyway. He’s not even a Republican. He just has no shot running as a Libertarian.

Keep in mind the scariest thing about the establishment RINOs is that they are afraid Newt WILL BEAT OBAMA. Just check Jonah Goldberg’s latest article on NationalReview.com where he admits “unnamed conservatives” told him this. This is a BIG LIE the media is caught up in that Republicans are against Newt because they think he’s not electable. They are specifically terrified because they think Newt WILL win.

We have seen the divide between the establishment and the Tea Party. What’s going on between the establishment and Newt is exactly the same thing. If you look at what he did leading up the takeover of the House in 1994, it sounds exactly like what the Tea Party has been trying to do. They know Romney will bend over and do whatever the establishment wants. They know Newt will do whatever he thinks his best.

Some say Newt will do what’s best for Newt. I think his record shows he’ll do what’s best for the country. But it’s clear he doesn’t care one bit about what the establishment of the party thinks. What’s very disturbing is how traitorous it is of them to risk giving Obama a second term by smearing Newt this way.

[FYI, Mitt won’t be the nominee, but I seriously doubt that he would pick that toxic, contentious woman with the low polling numbers....LOL.]

You are correct. It will be T-Paw if Romney gets the nomination. Huntsman plays the same tune that Romney does also, so there may also be a conflict. Gosh, I sure hope not! (Now I need a shower...)

“Newt has the ability to connect with the audience like no other candidate since Reagan. I truly mean that.”

I agree with that. Newt has persuaded me over to his camp. After tonights debate I can see I made the right decision.

His answer was an evasion plain and simple.

Her attack was a demagogic distortion plain and simple. Just vecause you refuse to withhold funds from candidates that support abortion, does not mean YOU support abortion. That is a falsehood known as guilt by association.

I like Dr Newt / Dr Paul ticket!

That would go over like a Newt-Ron bomb.

Awesome line, Lucky Lady. ;)

She and Glenn Beck can both get lost. They sound like broken records Glenn Beck said that Sarah Palin would make for a “nice neighbor,” but he thinks Bachmann is the most qualified for POTUS. Give me a break.

I have to say that I don't believe any other candidate could have withstood such relentless attacks and still have remained as unflappable nor given such concise and clear answers to those attacks.

Another thing, the country is facing more peril than it has decades, so it is not the time for on the job training. None of the contenders have such a deep and broad understanding of the government, constitution, foreign policy, conservative principles, and impact of policy on the economy not to mention history as Newt.

Perry had a better night, and I am watching him too. Hope he continues to improve. Right now, I would vote for Newt, and I started out feeling that I would not support any long time political person.

Newt was great tonight, Santorum has done well twice in a row, Perry did well except for his first overly jacked up on meds reply, but Newt hit it out of the park again; he was great even as front runner being on defense.

But I still won't give you my number.......

:-)

That’s a different issue. Both are true. Newt evaded the question and Bachmann demagogued her accusation.

"Perry and Bachmann look to offer the most true change and DC overhaul"

Perry and Bachmann, working together, will need the whole four years to figure out what needs changing- and another four years to get SOME of it changed. Newt knows exactly what needs changing RIGHT NOW, and he can git'er done in a few weeks, except what must be changed by Congress, and that might take the first year.

Spot on.

It will be the most watched debate or debates - although I doubt obamami would survive the first one - in the history of our elections.

I think the majority of Americans would so enjoy watching the little weasel get shredded. Being the uber narcissist that he is, it will be a National Catharsis, watching him squirm and wondering how long he can hold it in. After all, HE is the future King of the world. How DARE anyone talk to him like that!

Good point. Just like we saw in the midterms, the establishment was smearing Tea Party candidates. They’re doing the same thing to Newt, so Newt is really the Tea Party candidate based on the reaction of the establishment. He’s the best shot the Tea Party has to push their agenda.

Boy did she do poorly tonight. She needs to drop out.
