The last debate before the January 3rd Iowa caucuses is being held tonight in Sioux City.
We get seven candidates at this debate: Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman.
Fox's Bret Baier anchors the debate. Fox News panelists questioning the candidates: Chris Wallace, Megyn Kelly and Neil Cavuto.
I hardly thing that after tonight, and the fact that most of Iowa was watching, that RUN Paul will be hitting the top of the polls in the coming days. I still refuse to believe that he was as high as these recent bogus polls as we were led to believe.
Bachmann is also about done. She is pandering for a VP spot with Romney.
Shades of Amy Carter? Huntsman has said more than once, his daughter is his chief foreign policy advisor.

Yeah, WTF exactly IS that? Nothing says “I’m losing” more than going after each frontrunner like clockwork. Santorum does the same but just not as bad. Both great conservatives but they’re out of consideration for that one thing right there.
I truly don’t know what Michelle’s game is anymore. She’s ran the most piss poor campaign I’ve ever seen.

I think Santorum needs a Harvey Wall Bangor!!! That will wake him up.. I like Rick but there is no pizazz!
Newt clearly responded. He stated he has a 98.6% right to life voting record; he opposes embryotic stem cell experiments; he believes life begins at conception and that he fought Clinton on partial birth abortion. Couldnt be any clearer than that....she got her ammo from George Will who is a Romney supporter
Gingrich proved he can win under fire and bring the audience to his side.
Is 14 the day he joined, or his age?
He seems very reasoned.
I thought Bachmann did weel although she went a little overboard at times. Perhaps in future debates she should focus a bit more on economic ideas. I thoought Romney did well. I thought he made a smart decision when asked about Newt’s comments this week he could have gone after Newt on that but he wisely chose to go after Obama and his weakness on economic iisues. Perhaps there is a lesson there for other candidates. Gingrich did Ok but his explaination of FNMA/FHLMC was not his best. All in all if I were an Iowa person I would vote for Bachmann to support a conservative in the race while for now atleast Newt and Romney battle it out.
Which was his way of avoiding directly answering whether he had taken a pass on eliminating funding for PP. Apparently he couldn't say "no I didn't."

Bachmann is desperate, it shows. She needs to get the hell out of the race. The time for the first votes is almost here and the next phase of the campaign to kick the Obama’s out of the People’s House is upon us.
Amen to that- she does not know when to quit. I was ready to scream after the twentieth time I heard about her 93 foster children.

Agree with Juan Williams (OMG). Newt regained his balance tonight. He was taking verbal fire from all directions and was still standing at the end.
And Ron Paul can indeed come off really well for a totally deranged nut. But you don't have to remain a totally deranged nut forever; you can get therapy for that....
