Excellent Debate!! I want a REPEAT. On Foreign Policy. Herman Cain is really good with some personal vignettes. REALLY GOOD!

I agree. This has been great. WE WANT MORE!

It is no nice to hear a civilized discussion between the candidates without a bunch of contrived gimmicks, stump the dummy questions, baited traps, and you-tube videos of disgruntled kids demanding more of my stuff.

Why is Cain ‘wired’ and Newt holding the mic? Did anyone explain that?

Because Newt's lapel mike isn't working - simple...

My pleasure. Production organization engineering isn’t a bad way to think of it.

Disclaimer: I’m NOT in production - in business management. But I’m in a small (<100 person) facility that’s part of a major enterprise and I’ve worked with LeanSS enough to see its power.

Best,
Hank

I’ll take this up in Freepermail, I have no interest in helping you disturb the thread.

Like I said, nobody wants to hear Perry say ‘we already implemented that in Texas’ to their proposals...when Perry didn't implement it (the Galveston plan).

There, fixed it for you.

Ya know what’s really good about this? The fact that these two gentlemen are laying out plans and ideas in a fashion that voters can understand..not 30 second blips as is usual in debates. The rest of the republicans should be glad that this is going on tonight.

I love this set up. I agree that Americans are the real winners tonight.

He’s already solved the problems Newt and Cain are proposing solutions for. Why would he need to debate? He could just report the results from his solutions.

Actually, defined contribution is the term you mean, and Cain just gave a thorough answer using and explaining it. But the question he deferred to Newt - with humor- was about defined benefit. Cain is quite literal and wasn’t sure what was being referred to. If you’re looking for evidence to confirm your thesis that Cain is shaky on policy knowledge, which I think you are, you go ahead and use that. personally, I think the objective evidence is that Cain holds his own with Newt. I wonder if that would be said of you. Pfffft..

We’re looking more at an ad for the President and VP of the United States.

I like Cain’s answers about letting the states decide how to use block grants.

Jim Thompson is the best FReeper ever. onyx is a close second, though.

I don’t know....I think Onyx beats him. :) Both great people but Onyx has the “it” factor.

Has anyone’s mind been changed on either candidate?

Not me. I think both men are head and shoulders above the rest but I thought that coming in.

No I really would prefer Newt as President...he’s proven he can manuver Washington and get congress to act....I just am not convinced Cain is ready for this office...he’s got a ways to go IMO...and we can’t afford the time he will need to adapt to Washington....this is seen even in the dialogue tonight
