Please read about Breitbart's opening salvo against John Podesta and Media Matters.
This is not paranoia. Media Matters, a Soros outfit, is hiring "interns" to come on conservative forums and try to sow division, slow down momentum, forment confusion. And they are better at it than they used to be. They don't curse and swear like liberals on their own forums do.
But the reality is, birthers are here. And they are here to stay for the next few years. The ones here on FR have caught holy heck from me, from you, from lots of other freepers and as a group, they have yet to break. Figuratively speaking, I mean I have whomped them upside the head with Wong until the paper is falling apart. To pretty much no effect.
And, most of the birthers, outside of FR, aren’t getting the kind of flack we dish out here, so there’s even less chance of them just dissolving. So realistically, there is going to be this mass of people who have these strange ideas, and there is nothing we can do about it. They are here to stay.
The question is: first, can you keep them from being liabilities come election time, and second: is there any way to turn them into assets.
Yes. Blame Obama for making them. He hasn’t done anything, since releasing the COLB. The reason is clear. He likes them. Unless they carve into the base of people voting for him, he has no incentive to pull the carpet out from under them. But if polls indicate they are costing him a percent or two, that carpet is coming out from under them. That’s MHO.

But you just said that Fukino has already settled the issue of Obama's birth certificate and that he and it is legitimate. So then why would any of these state laws closing loopholes and requiring production of a birth certificate have any effect on preventing Obama from running in 2012???
I've said this all along, too. Having any candidate produce his birth certificate when running for office would be a good thing. So, it's something that should be done in any case, no matter whether we're talking about Obama or not. And since we've got a good number of people who would like to see the birth certificate, I would say it's an excellent time to get such a law passed.
And in addition to that, I'm all for satisfying other FReepers "needs" to see the birth certificate, as it's a good thing for all candidates -- even though they've never been required to do it in the past.
It's about time that they are required to do it now.
As to whether it will make a difference in whether Obama will run or not... I don't think so, but that shouldn't stop us from getting such a law on the books, in any case.
If Fukino is right as you claim she is, then all these state laws, that you claim will close the loophole, won't keep Obama from running in 2012, will they??? So then which is it??? Which of your lies is true: Is Fukino right or will these state laws prevent a 2nd Obama term???
Oh..., I'm pretty sure that the majority of the general voting electorate knows that when a state makes an official announcement like that -- that it's true. A lot of people don't buy into many of the "conspiracy-minded theories" that we see posted here on this issue... LOL ...
Now, as to what I think..., well, I believe I've stated it all along from the beginning. If he's not qualified per his birth, then showing the birth certificate will prove it or cause him not to run or to challenge the law. I've said that all before in many previous posts.
But, if he is qualified per his birthplace, then it won't make a bit of difference.
So, what's the big deal about it?
Simple..., it gets the information out in the open and settles the issue once and for all. That's worth it all by itself.
And besides that, it's a good thing for all candidates to have to meet that requirement and since we have now seen that it's a loophole that a candidate is not legally required to produce his birth certificate -- it's a good law for the state to have.
I think you need to invite Fukino and your other DU posters to your Bible Study [#385], but instead of studying the rapture, start with Exodus 20:16 and finish with Rev 21:8, the future of all prefabricators.
I think it's quite hilarious to see certain FReepers quoting Bible verses in other threads, when you never see them in the very threads where those discussions are going on, like the Religion threads.
I've posted on the Bible, end times events, and the Rapture and invite people all the time over to the Rapture threads, and I've never yet seen you in one of those Bible study threads, and/or the Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem threads... yet... you seem to want to quote some verses of the Bible in non-religion threads... LOL ...

Well, it's pretty simple actually... if you've found a loophole in the law, then you should close it up... that's reason enough for it -- all by itself... :-)

Well, I thought Obama was ineligible per his politics and that was enough for me to not vote for him and vote for the GOP ticket of McCain/Palin.
But, as to whether Obama is ineligible per his birthplace... nope... not according to the State of Hawaii's official announcement saying that he was born in Hawaii.
And as to whether he's ineligible according to the natural born status -- that's something that is not going to be settled until the Supreme Court weighs in on it.
Did that get me to support Obama? Nope! Like I said, I voted for the GOP ticket... :-)
