Is Obama-Appointed Head of NASA a Former or Closet Radical?

Posted on 02/18/2010 10:23:44 AM PST by MindBender26

At first glance, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden seems like the perfect candidate to head the U.S space agency. A former Marine test pilot and a minority, he flew the Space Shuttle four times, twice as the co-pilot and twice as the Commander. Bolden retired from the Marines as a Major General and had an excellent career there, although it was not highly distinguished. Had he not been an astronaut, he probably would have retired, at most, as a Colonel.

But Bolden is now in the process of following Obama’s orders to destroy America’s manned spaceflight program. The international prestige we achieved by being the only nation to ever go to the Moon, of having the most advanced space vehicle in the Space Shuttle and being the driving force behind the International Space Station is being thrown away. There are four more Shuttle flights. After those flights, the Space Shuttle will be grounded, the equipment discarded and the tens of thousands of people who make the program work will be fired. After these last four Shuttle flights, the only way into space for Americans will be begging for rides from the Russians or Chinese. Osama’s budget killed everything else.

When you look into Bolden’s background, there is little indication of a man who would go along with this national debasement. Bolden is a Naval Academy graduate, flew in Vietnam and then returned stateside, had two children and lived the great American dream. When you dig deeper, however, one small red flag may indicate some thing much more ominous.

Bolden married his childhood sweetheart upon his graduation from Annapolis in 1968. When he returned from Southeast Asia, they moved to Los Angeles where he worked in the civilian community as a recruiting officer. It was there his first child was born. Now a Lieutenant Colonel in the Marines, Anthony Che Bolden was born June 9, 1971.

Che?

Che?

Why would a young Marine officer name his child after the counter-culture Marxist revolutionary “hero” Ernesto "Che" Guevara. Che Guevara died in 1967 in Bolivia after fermenting Communist revolutions throughout Central and South America. Guevara was personally responsible for the execution deaths of hundreds of innocents, the battle deaths of tens of thousands and was the tactical operator behind Castro’s revolution in Cuba.

Since his death, Guevara had become the leading far-left hero in the world. His image as a brave Communist warrior decorates walls and t-shirts (and Obama campaign offices) from Berkley to Beijing. In reality a drunkard and ruthless killer, Che was and is adored by the American “Progressives” and Far Left.

So why would a young Marine officer name his son after this radical revolutionary? Was he disillusioned by the war in Vietnam? Was it exposure to the typical Los Angeles “Barbara Streisand Brigade” mindthink? Or was it the result of deeper, but long hidden political leanings?

Since Bolden admits he only applied to NASA after it made a commitment to “diversity,” and he is in charge of dismantling and discarding our once-proud leadership in manned spaceflight, I wonder if any reporter has ever asked the question as to what he was thinking when he named his son in honor of a Marxist murderer?

Maybe it’s just a little blip on the radar of life, but in these times, when the “Blame America First” crowd is running Washington, I would certainly love an answer to that question no one had asked.

"Why would a young Marine officer name his child after the counter-culture Marxist revolutionary “hero” Ernesto "Che" Guevara."

And you base this one what? Che is a common name or expression throughout Central America that long pre-dates Che Guevera.

One of my son's middle names is "Charles". I certainly didn't name him after "Charles Manson".

But he is one of Obama’s peeps!

That’s gotta count for something.

No need to read the article... the answer as with every Obama appointee is “Why, yes...yes he is.”

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_F._Bolden,_Jr.
Not a mention of ever having served or been stationed in Central America.
Yea, I’m sure “Che” is just coincidence...

He and his wife are both from South Carolina, not South America.

In 2010, there is only one “Beyonce,” one “Madonna,” one “Oprah,” one “Tiger, one “Fabio.”

In 1971, there was only one “Elvis,” and only one “Che.”

Sorry, I forgot; Bolden is also enthusiastically following Obama's dictate to expand NASA's work to Muslim countries as the one for USA spaceflight is being dismantled!

See "NASA plans more outreach to Muslim countries (as Obama kills US Manned Spaceflight Program!) Orlando Sentinel ^ Posted on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 11:11:00 PM"

Neither of you have posited anything other than rank speculation and conjecture. If you’ve got a reference from a reputable source that quotes the man as saying he named his kid - a kid who happens to be a Lt. Col in the US Marines - after Che Guevera, then post it. What you’ve got know is a ridiculous conspiracy theory that makes you look like a foil-wearer. You’re embarrassing yourselves.

Disturbing name choice.
No way that was not intentional.
Might as well used Fidel or Nikita.

Given Obama appoints people with radical ties, it raises an eyebrow for now.

Bottom line...

He is going along with Obama gutting NASA.
That is all I need to know right now.

If course there are no final answers yet.

My point is simple.

Why name him such?

And why not ask why?

Did you happen to notice that Che is a Lt. Colonel in the USMC?

My cousin’s name is Sam. He has a son. OMG, he’s the son of Sam.

And why would you think that an African American born and raised in South Carolina, married to a woman born and raised in SOuth Carolina, would give a rat’s behind about what they do in central America????

In the US ‘Che’ is NOT a common name not even among my friends who are here illegally

How do you turn his comment “...I would certainly love an answer to that question no one had asked” into a conspiracy theory?!
My middle name is Charles also. So what?!
If I had no German ancestry and chose to name my child Adolf (which is a common German name, right?) you don’t think it would be curious?

“...rank speculation...” certainly defines your responses as well. Show me anywhere that a Southern African American has a love for things Latin ( other than maybe a Del Taco——\s).

Go stand out in the rain some more and then let me guess whether you will be wet when you come inside....

With that huge amount of tin-foil on your head, you'll want to avoid storms as well, just saying.
