A petition by the Democratic National Congressional Committee critical of Rush Limbaugh is backfiring as supporters of the talk radio icon pummel the party website with their own views.

Hundreds of people have signed the petition, which is introduced with the request to "Stand strong against Rush Limbaugh's Attacks – sign our petition, telling Rush what you think of his attacks on President Obama."

Reading these comments, I believe we can declare the petition an “Epic Fail”..

If the Democrats can’t even run a petition or have the common sense to moderate blog comments, why should we trust them to run things like health care?

I am a Democrat and I voted for Obama, a fact I am now regretting severely. Instead of demonizing Rush Limbaugh we should be asking why we are supporting a SPENDING bill that increases the size of the federal government by 30 % and provides few jobs that aren’t related to the government largess. Stop being hypocritical. Conservatives DO want socialistic policy to fail, just as liberals want conservative policy to fail. That was the entire substance of Limbaugh’s comments in context; it has NOTHING to do with Obama personally. Some of you are smart enough to know that, yet you scream anyway. That makes you liars. I don’t listen to Rush every day, but I will now. Anyone who works this hard to silence someone is obviously afraid of what that person has to say. That usually means that person is hitting a nerve. Dictators and oppressive regimes always first silence those that unmask those dictators and oppressors. Freedom Of Speech is alive and not only for Democrats. I will listen to Rush every day now. Unlike the Obama cool aid crowd most Rush listeners don’t agree with Rush on everything. We are free independent thinkers. You can not silence us. For every Rush you try to silence there will be hundreds more.

There were 1527 comments so far on the dccc web site when I looked at it a few minutes ago. The post I posted there yesterday has yet to show up. I suspect that there must be a heck of a lot more posts in favor of Rush and they have held them back. Already 99% of the posts are Pro Rush as it is.

I suggest we all go and make posts there, copy and paste them into an email keeping track of the time we posted it, and see if our posts show up:

Obama has just openly THREATENED that he will encourage his followers (like ACORN etc.) to activate in all districts of Republican members of Congress and Senate to strongly oppose their re-election - for not obeying his wishes on the stimulus package!
