Either you are a licensed salesperson, or a Broker or and associate broker. The term “Realtor” is a designation that means only that you belong to the State Association and/or the National Association of Realtors. Sales people work for brokers. There are a lot of appraisers that are brokers too. That is where they get their comparable information. And many used to sell real estate.

I'm praying that this helps cripple bambi before he even gets started.
As another freeper wrote the other day, saying that bambi is clean is asking us to believe that he is the only virgin in the whore house.

If so, it should be public record. How about some research?

In PA brokers can act as agents as well, but a salesperson has to work under a broker. Is what you described the format in IL?

Most Brokers in Michigan also sell and list. The legal entity is the Broker. The owner will have an Associate Brokers license. So the Broker could be “Joe Blow Realty”. And Joe Blow has an associate brokers license with that firm to allow him to manage, sign closing statements and sell and list. A sales person can list and sell but can not sign a closing statement. OK I’m done. LOL

Take it easy on the newbie. I have been here for at least 3 years , and this site is too complicated for a ham fisted country boy like myself to start threads correctly on, at least according to some on here.

Presumed United States President-Elect Barack Obama! :-)
The electoral college hasn’t met yet, to my knowledge.

Thanks...that's good, I like it.
I have to admit though, my mind was leaning a bit more on the dirty side while I was trying to figure it out ;^)

Well, PUSPEBO kind of flows trippingly off the tongue, so I’ll have to find a new word for the “P” once the electoral college selects the messiah in a few days...any clean suggestions? ;-)

Here may be some dots to connect between Patti (and Rod) Blagojevich, Rezko, and the Obama land deal for anyone who wants to look into it. The Mahajans and Mutual Bank add another dot.
From
Governor got gifts from indicted woman , May, 2007.
Democratic Gov. Rod Blagojevich received gifts last year from a woman now under felony indictment on charges of billing the state for more than $2 million in phony drug tests. ....
.......New this year on Blagjoevichs disclosure were Amrish and the indicted Anita Mahajan. The Mahajans also helped Patti Blagojevich obtain real estate business worth more than $100,000 last year................
............Amrish Mahajan is a major fundraiser for Blagojevich among Chicagos Indian community. And the Mahajans steered four real estate deals to Patti Blagojevich that brought her $113,700 in commissions, her only commissions last year [2006?]
through October, according to the Chicago Tribune. ...............
And from this posting from the Real Barack Obama site,
Meet the Chicago Way Chorus
...........
the governors wife and a real estate agent, has not been charged with anything either, but there is federal heat on her real estate deals, particularly those involving Rezko and Mutual Bank of Harvey boss Amrish Mahajan. To wit: Mahajans wife, Anita, is awaiting trial on state felony charges, accused of bilking millions from taxpayers for phony state drug tests her company never performed. Just before investigators raided the companys offices, the computers magically vanished. Mahajans bank funneled that loan to Rezkos wife, Rita, so she could purchase that lot in the Kenwood neighborhood, in the strange deal that allowed Barack Obama to buy his dream house. ...
So it appears that Mahajan of Mutual Bank and Tony Rezko are both tight with Patti Blagojevich in helping her real estate career. Both were also instrumental in the Rezko/Obama land deal..... the same piece of land that an appraisor for Mutual Bank later said was overvalued. Ref.

More interesting information about the land deal and Obama/Rezko/Mahajan connections.....From Newsweek,
The Return Of Rezko according to Conner (the real estate analyst who filed suit against Mutual Bank for wrongful termination after he questioned the appraisal on the Rezko side of the Obama land deal)
the president of Mutual, Amrish Mahajan, personally approved the loan to Rezko's wife and had an "established relationship" with Rezko.
Also,
Conner says he concluded that the bank's appraisal of the property was 'overvalued' by $125,000 and that, based on comparable prices of nearby properties, the vacant lot that the Rezkos paid $625,000 for was worth no more than $500,000. To back up his own conclusion, he included as an exhibit an appraisal that Obama paid for in November 2005, which assessed Rezko's property to be worth $490,860--about the same as Conner's assessment and also far less than Rezko and his wife paid for it.
Another point of interest from that article,
GOP critics have charged that, given the insistence of the seller to close on both properties at the same time, Rezko's willingness to pay an inflated price for the lot next door to Obama was a financial favor to him. Obama, they charge, later returned the favor by paying the $104,000 price for the side strip (one sixth of Rezko's lot) when his own November 2005 appraisal only valued the strip at $40,000.
