It’s quite good. Trader Joe’s has it together — quality and price.

I will wager that they bring up the N Y Times article today bashing Romney as the most hated candidates by the other candidates in the race.

We have a winner. I loved the way Romney handled the answer. He must have thought they would, too, and had a pretty good response ready.

You watch, listen, and type to a different drummer than the rest of us. You like to be independent?

I just think for myself... why do you ask? What in particular did you disagree with, my comment that Romney did not do that well? I guess it could be a matter of opinion. I didn't like his position on the 2nd amendment, and his other comments may have sounded smooth (but then so was Bill Clinton) but I just get the feeling he is another typical politician who isn't guided by firm principles. If you disagree, you might want to watch these videos.

Krauthammer says they hate Mitt because he is smart, handsome and rich.

And a beautiful wife and kids and grandkids.

You should have been around for the 1976 primary, and maybe you were. That was a battle royal all the way to the convention floor.

No, not really. I’ve just heard the same questions with generally the same answers debate after debate after debate.

"Robert McCain: maybe I don’t know enough about it, but I’ve not seen any help whatsoever [for my son among conservatives]"

She's there to beg for "help" for her son? Maybe she "doesn't know enough about it"? The sophisticated Roberta McCain? The cultured elitist with her patrician son? The world-traveller? Since when was she fluffy and confused?

I can't believe McCain has his mother pulling this stunt on C-Span so that the McCain toadies in the press can bring it up during the debate. This is a blatant, Hillaryesque ploy for pity, in this case from older voters in Florida.

At least we didn't have to watch her cry on C-Span.

BTW it is nobody’s damned business why any American would want an “assault weapon.”

Well, if his name was Hinckley and he had a crush on Jodie Foster and was hearing voices, I would care.

But, OTOH, the reason for the Second Amendment is defense against tyranny and invasion. It has nothing whatsoever to do with hunting for food or sport.

Any sane American without a felony record who wants to be prepared to take down invaders and prevent tyranny just by stroking his gun and smiling as the would be tyrrants pass by has my blessing. And they are welcome to use those weapons, as far as I'm concerned, if they are trained in how to use them properly, when the need arises.

And in circumstances of civil disorder (natural or manmade), weapons are often an essential part of returning to law and order.

Me, I want a Stinger. If you're going fight the really bad guys, you need the bad stuff.

2A is Romney's great weakness. It means he will have a learning curve before he finds the mindset to take down real enemies. People who don't "get" guns, generally also don't "get" bad guys in terms of the only real solution to them.

Families with military history generally "get" guns and "get" that there are bad guys out there that a nice business compromise or a slick ad campaign won't deter.

I believe Romney is smart enough to finally get it, but it will be rocky until he does. That he is in the running and may be the only thing between us and the Dems in the end is testimony to the feminization of American politics.

Countries that put their women in burquas don't have to get permission from them to protect their territory or to go out and get more.

So... I didn’t see what I saw? He didn’t guarantee abortion for all? He didn’t say Kennedy wasn’t pro-gay enough?

I missed most the debate. I’m for Romney as he seems to get better the more you listen to him. How did he do?

Yours is certainly a valid position; but I don't see it that way. It is iffy if either Romney or McCain can carry the base. Of the two, I just trust Romney a half a hair's breadth more. I think the press will make mincemeat out of either. Remember, the press doesn't have to have a real issue--they beat Fred down with generalities which affected people's perceptioin of the man.

Then there is this interesting possibility--Obama gets the nomination--Repubs. get a backlash of Hispanics.

Any way you look at it, I just cannot vote for McCain. He has betrayed us too many times.
