If McCain wins the nomination, then the pubbies become the third party. But yeah, it would be a hold my nose and vote for him - and work like heck to ensure a conservative Congress to keep him in check.

Even though I fully support Thompson at this time I must say I would follow John McCain “to the gates of hell” to help stave off a Hillary Clinton anything.

I was at the McCain rally today in Grand Rapids and there were close to if not a bit more than 1,000 people in the airplane hanger to greet him. There were about 200 kids who are not old enough to vote in this crowd. Why not bus in seniors?
Good friend of mine is the Michigan campaign manager for McCain and I must say things certainly seem to be running in his direction. When I think of who McCain will have beside him as far as cabinet appointments I would much rather have his direction and influence than Clinton, Omamma, Edwards, or Kucinich............or Paul, Guiliani, Hickalib, or that lying SOB who hunts “Varmints”.
In a few short days I will be voting for Thompson....essentially a wasted vote......but we all need to rally and vote “R” come November and help every family member and friend we can get to the polls on election day to vote for the Republican ticket.
I don't get your reasoning there. Did you not understand my post? Who is telling me how to vote? Is it the millions of Republicans that voted in the primaries? I guess you don't think Hillary is much of a threat. Maybe you don't think at all.
Neither do I. But I think a little effort would help us minimize the chances just like setting up speed traps on our highways do with speeders.

He played the populist and said that as a Judeo-Christian Nation we will not stand by and let those less fortunate, those in john edweirds "two Americas", suffer and do without... because as a Judeo Christian Nation we owe them support. He also said that as Judeo-Christians we must embrace Globull Warming because as a Judeo Christian Nation, we must do whatever it takes to protect the environment and stop Globull Warming... "we must be good stewards of the environment. He also said Sunday on MTP that if he was faced with having to vote against the Bush Tax cuts again HE WOULD! This is the Primary season and it is now that we decide who we will run with... and I am saying that if Republicans nominate a liberal (and mclame is certainly that by just using the soundbites that I referenced above.. and they were played on Special Report tonight) I will not vote for him. I will vote “uncommitted” as then those UNCOMMITTED delegates will go to the Convention and vote for who they best think represents the platform on which we will run. Michael Barrone confirmed this way of voting as legitimate.

I was told right here in this thread that America is no longer a Conservative Nation and that we now have an electorate that is leaning socialist but pro-life, pro Second Amendment etc. I was attacked because I will not hold my nose and go along to get along... and I will NEVER do that again. To vote for a liberal is to be a liberal. There is very little that I find myself in agreement with huck, mitt, or john... the REAL huck, mitt or john. They all talk a good game but this ain’t my first rodeo... and I KNOW what they governed like and I also know what they say today. Libs lie and there is way too much lying coming from the faux Conservative candidates for me to EVER consider giving them my support.

They are important to ME and the RNC because I am thousands of dollars shy of what I normally donate (they call it being behind in contributions)... and I did not donate to the RNC during the entire year of 2007. I am financially supporting Conservative candidates in several States and will continue to do so.
I have as much right as you or anyone else to espouse my opinions on Free Republic and help to educate and shape the outcome of the nomination process. It will take a heck of a lot more than a few disgruntled hot heads on FR to suppress my rights!
